Obviously it is not going to have 5000mAh like current xperia.
Just because samsung lacks competence to do certain things from engineering point of view, does not mean other are incompetent as well.

Bluetooth for audio on tge Vita was and still is a terrible experience.
As for the Switch, it is better but I never use it because using a dongle or wired is better.
(I do use BT headphones and buds with my phone though)

Anonymous, 22 May 2023They have big business of headphones, doesn't feel like itWireless headphones I guess? They did stop including headphone jack for 3 years: xz2, xz3 and Xperia 1/5. But luckily, they made U turn and have provided it for 4 years now. Unfortunately, their move towards foldables could end that. Hopefully not. But if you look at Samsung's history, they stopped including headphone jacks on all S series devices after Galaxy fold was released. And this render of Xperia fold doesn't seem to include headphone jack. So all these are bad signs

Idk what to make out of this.
Sounds really fake tbh. This is not what Sony usually likes to do.

Anonymous, 22 May 2023Are you impying people buy flagships for headphone jack and... moreIt means that Sony has been the only OEM to make flagship phones with headphone jack and microSD card. As a result, people looking for flagship specs with those features are limited to Sony. If Sony stops including those features then these people won't be able buy any more flagship devices. Unfortunately, this move of Sony towards foldables sort of indicates that.

I think, it's a good idea. Current foldables are too heavy and big and have no advantage over conventional smartphones.

Anonymous, 22 May 2023Are you impying people buy flagships for headphone jack and... moreI don't think he's making any kind of statement that people only buy flagships for micro SD cards and headphone jacks. However, people do buy Sony phones for that reason. They're basic features that have been cynically removed by other brands to promote buying subscription cloud storage and Bluetooth headphones.
The poster was simply expressing that he hopes Sony doesn't go the way of the other brands, which is honestly unlikely.

Owning both a Vita and Switch, I actually prefer Sony's ecosystem more. For years, the Switch didn't have wireless Bluetooth for audio. And my Switch Lite couldn't have any music or videos installed on it that I can easily do now on my Vita 2K model using FTP Cafe from an Android smartphone.
Sony can really make a comeback if they finally release us products we want. A gaming phone similar to the Xperia Play with more modern specs. A handheld similar to the modern specs of a Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and GPD Win 4. And a foldable clamshell which would appeal to their home country.
Sony is wasting it away for tall, $1600-$1800 slab phones?
Give us...
Xperia Play 2
PS Vita 2 / PSP3
Xperia V Compact (slab-style)
Xperia V Flip
Two things Sony is doing right is maintaining to keep headphone jack and expandable storage.

Shellyman Studios, 22 May 2023I would like to see another Xperia tablet from them. Even ipad sales are falling. Zero reason sony would burn money on tablets.
Tablet market is gonna shrink easily 20-25% this year.

Hanif Fikri, 22 May 2023I respect your opinion liking sony display with no notch bu... moreDesign like s23 does not allow dual front speakers.
No phone should use speaker beside usb port.
It is awful.
Only thing worse than this is phones that do not use earpiece as speaker and have another grill at top like motorola.
