I reckon companies are managing to polish it over time, and Apple has probably been working on it in secret for a while to make sure the front camera doesn't look like puke.

              The Dynamic Island will still stick around for a while, either way. The standard iPhones won't get UDC for a looong while.

                In a world of foldable phones, here comes the phone who just graduated from notch to punch capsule. When will it graduate to punch hole? Forget about foldables. Slowly but surely moving towards the path of nokia and vertu. Outdated obsolete luxury tech.

                    Lol I have big hands and the 14 pro max is already uncomfortable for me. Can Imagine how a 6.9" iphone will feel 🤦

                      Most under-display cameras appear foggy/blurry and don't really take very good photos, which isn't going to sit well with Apple who only make one phone and a few size variations for it each year, could you imagine the feedback they'd get if their front camera was bad?

                          I don't get why everyone is like 'WHY IS ISLAND STILL ON 16??!?!?!11/11!?!" when these renders were literally made as just a comparison and wasn't supposed to be accurate. The 16 will still have UDC.

Source: I have it laying in front of me.. Completely different form factor, not rounded, way smaller punchhole than the iPhone Notch, it's nowhere close.

                                If it's true it's once again proof of Apples poor design and their idiotic decisions. The current Pro Max is already way too big and uncomfortable to hold, why make it even worse without a redesign?
