          https://www.androidauthority.com/teens-prefer-apple-3149997/

I'm an adult (39 years old) and absolutely prefer a phone made for adults / tech driven peoples, like the 'Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4' is. So yes, I own and use the Z Fold4 alot every day.

iPhones are DEADLY boring these days as it's just the same years after years. There is absolutely no innovation and nothing that is exciting with them. In fact, iPhones have been deadly boring for the last 7-8 years.

Weird that people are still buying those phones. Look around and people are carrying iPhones with damaged screens and non-functioning face id, and Samsung phones with green and pink lines on the screens like a rainbow. I see people using Huawei phones from 5 years ago and in pristine condition. Those high sales figures are likely due to people having to upgrade their faulty phones and not sure which to buy, so they just buy whatever phones that is advertised the most.

flagship androids are making a mistake, curved screens are not popular. i couldve got the S23 ultra but i refused cuz of it.
motorla, xiaomi, etc all their phones have curved screens, so be it, they dont learn.

iphones, pics look like a cartoon and the buyers look like sheeps. boring all of them with the same phone LOL

if the next S24 shows to be an upgrade over the S23 it will sell good again.

There you have it folks. Smartphones wouldn't be around if it weren't for China. We were all going to revert back to two plastic cups and a string.

notafan, 30 May 2023No I don't. I went with the S23 because of 2 problems ... moreso a huawei p60 pro or oppo find x5 pro or vivo x90 pro+ wouldn't last for more than 2 years? in what joke environment do you live? i ise huawei mate 20 pro for 5 years now without any bugs or quality issues.

you china haters should eventually realize that china is the reason for wjy smartphones exost, not just the fact that they are the main production country but also their technological innovation which resulted in all those things we have in our phones now. let's take huawei as an example: wirhout huawei we wouldn't have 5g and smartphone cameras would still be crap. but trump, who is a member of the "china hater" organization like the guy whose comment i am answering to, banned huawei because american apple and american slave samsung wouldn't know what hit'em with huawei being the leading manufacturer and apple and samsung still selling their 2009-tech phones.

Daemon Targaryen, 30 May 2023iPhones appeals to the lowest common denominator of users. ... moreThis 👆. The most valuable comment I've heard from anyone since I joined this platform.

iPhones appeals to the lowest common denominator of users. Like the grandma born in the 1950s and 1960s who never used a smartphone before an iPhone. The kid born in 2010 who only saw iPhones in his or her life. Folks making comments in GSMArena or on YouTube make up like less than 1% of actual users out there. Common folks wouldn't have a clue what an HTC phone is.

I honestly stopped caring about the flame war between Android vs. iOS at least 10 years ago. I use it all. Why should it bother you if they're using a phone or OS you happen to hate or refuse to use? You do you. And let others live their life and let them enjoy the phones they want to use. Too many insecure phone nerds online.

240z, 30 May 2023my friends bought an Galaxy S23 Ultra earlier this year for... moreIta because samsung and apple devices are the most advertised and promoted in all stores, thats it. Thats why people have them, most people havent got a single clue of the specs of their device or what they mean, they'll see a samsung or apple advert (usually lying about the capabilities of the device, samsung is still doing it with the s23u) and go "oh, that'll be the next device i get".

People dont take time going through different products you can get or do any actual research they just go off what is shoved in their face and thats samsung/apple. Very very few people actually choose a device based off personal choice and research, and some that do will still stick with samsung and apple based off brand loyality (you dont realise how powerful branding actually plays a roll).

Also these figures are based off $500 or higher which includes EVERY APPLE DEVICE THAT CAME OUT IN THE LAST 3 YEARS so the actual data is kind of mis leading even though apple are leading with phone sales. A lot of say chinese brands flagships drop below that price very quickly and samsung has a lot of devices, even if still "premium" that fall under that price.

A $500 device could be a flagship for competitive purposes, but $500 phones are considered midrange. Not premium. Premium is $700 and above.
