Edit the raw files and you'll see that it's a great sensor. It's not up to Sony to make use of the sensor - it's up to the user. If you're not getting good pictures out of an Xperia, it's safe to say it's a user error :)

They should have released 5V the same time as 1V and 10V. At least earlier than Pixel 8, otherwise I will not be patient enough.

Bitrate refers to depth of information, whether in video or audio
A higher bitrate results in better quality but also larger file sizes which is why it's not necessarily good since it depends on your situation. If you want to record for longer, you use a lower bitrate
But having a higher bitrate does result in better quality. This isn't debatable. Just because you say something, doesn't mean it's true. I have backed myself up, you haven't.
This isn't the only aspect that Sony is superior in, they also record at a higher fps since Xiaomi drops frames while recording.

In case you do not know, everything you watch on tv is recorded at 300, 400, 500 or even 600Mbps. This is what TV channels use.
Not even counting movies , since they are using raw files over 1000Mbps.

Also their customer service never bothered to even try call me back, or reply to emails. That's one way to keep a customer away, I guess.

I had some major issues with my OnePlus phones back when Android 11 was the latest OS - but newer OS versions fixed those issues. Now waiting for the 3rd and final major Android update for this model, which will be Android 14 - and it gets one more year of security patches after that. Every other month an update arrives, keeps the phone relatively secure.

I would rather Sony honor their 60FPS and give overheat warning rather than drop rate to trick and satisfy consumers that their equipment can record lengthy videos , but produces low quality output.
Lucky the Xperia 1V solves the heating issues.

Looking at the various photo samples, and that's by various people and groups, Sony doesn't seem yo have made much use of rhe new sensor technology. Maybe it's stubborn arrogance in attempting to dismiss smartphone HDR and Computational Photography Algorithms.

They are trying to bet on the monopoly they have over the market, thinking that there are no phones with a 3.5mm headphone jack and an SD card slot.
Little do they know that there are other manufacturers that have begun to notice this niche segment. The iQOO Z7 is a monumentally better phone than the 10 V. The only thing this trumps the iQOO is in size, weight and water resistance.
