Lol. Seriously Apple? I've several Apple products myself, but the fact that they come to market with their first ever mixed reality headset priced far above the established competition is incredibly laughable.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2023I wonder if this can be used via wearing eye glasses ? I saw somewhere that with the help of zeiss lenses it will be completely fine for people who wear glasses.

very impressive but I hope they can make a standard model with lower prices

LMFAO…this website should really be paying Apple for all the traffic these Apple articles are generating predominantly from the Apple Obsessed Fandroids. As usual comment sections filled with vile and hatred towards a company they apparently have no intention of ever purchasing a product from.

AnonD-1103364, 06 Jun 2023Why your comments moving the stocks or what?Wow, you're so funny and original.

No, I just want to have a discussion about a tech product on a tech website. Kinda weird to clarify that, really.

                        $3500, yikes!

Also, we still don't know very much about this product, especially displays:
                          - what refresh rate do they have?
                          - do they use PWM for lighting regulation? And if they do, what are the frequency and pulsation coefficient? Lower frequency and higher coefficient are more likely to cause headaches.

Not apple announcing a VR headset halfway through 2023... Bit late to the party boys. Are VRs even a thing anymore? 5 years ago yes, but 2023????

NeonHD, 06 Jun 2023I'm already imagining the number of Vision Pro clones ... moreBut Vision Pro itself is just a clone of ther glasses, just with higher specs and still not available.

Pointless. I can't believe this is good for your eyes. Can only see this as a way to immerse yourself in a movie or meditative experience.

The bit in the video when you talk to a friend with it on looks stupid.

ishreal, 06 Jun 2023No lol. 1 they did NOT make the microLED display. Likely it... moreYou are confusing "microLED" (which is a type of LCD with many tiny LEDs for backlight) and "micro OLED" (which is OLED that's just super small). Maybe you should think before writing instead of embarrassing yourself.

And, obviously, I know that Apple doesn't manufacture all of its products' components. But they design them, engineer them - as with Apple Silicon, as with displays of all their tech (including miniLED for MacBook Pro) and other components. More simply, Apple sign contracts with manufacturers (TSMC, Samsung displays division (which is not the same as Samsung smartphone division), etc.) by which they produce components by Apple's schematics, complying to Apple's requirements and quality control. So, Apple's contribution is big enough alright.

Dont care for any tech that tried to take over my body, but ill say this is very impressive, i just dont see a real use case for it outside of very specific educational or workspace scenarios
