08 June 2023
But it will be able to ramp up as high as 96Hz under specific scenarios.

So many "professor" talking here about whatever $h!t their can make. Yes, make instead of "made". My advice, go learn about eyes structure and how eyes perceive the world (things around you, lights, tone, shade and etc) and you will know that you don't need really high refresh rate to watch something at very close distance, I mean literally like 2 or 3 inches right in front of your eyes. You people are "genius" in the wrong way. I rest my case. See yaa "genius". 😏

The price is expensive enough that both should be standard at its price category though.

Darth Caesium, 08 Jun 2023It's a $3500 VR+AR headset with a 90-96Hz refresh rate... moreThis thing could be running 24K displays PER EYE at 240Hz with five M2 Ultra chips while costing 50$ and GSMArena users would still hate on Apple lmao. This thing isn't just a VR headset. It's a whole computer. Read the specs. Read about the several years of RnD. Check the 5000 patents they filed. Is it too expensive? Yes, definitely. Is it justified? Probably.

Super Android 22, 08 Jun 2023Why? 90hz is the minimum rate to deal with motion on a VR/M... moreThe problem is that if there is something that can't consistently be at 90fps (even 89fps is a problem) then you're gonna eventually get motion sick. That's why 120Hz is much better, since you're not at the minimum framerate in which things won't give you motion sickness.

Darth Caesium, 08 Jun 2023It's a $3500 VR+AR headset with a 90-96Hz refresh rate... moreWhy? 90hz is the minimum rate to deal with motion on a VR/MR headset and its not a gaming headset anyway (i know apple are trying to work wjth developers to improve the library of games for their ecosystem) so really is not an issue. Its by far the best headset technically and has the best feature set in a portable headset which most arent portable so yeah, hating for hating sake really on here now lol.

Dear God... You guys never wrote an article on quest 3 pro, but release articles on an expensive toy that the average human can't afford

                  Hahahaha.

It's not even released yet and all the c-r-a-p and lies that Apple is trying to hide is already leaking out. All hype by YouTubers who are afraid of getting blacklisted from future Apple events and product releases.

Let me guess, someone is gonna leak next that the 2 hour battery life is for very light use running at 60Hz.

The Varjo VR headsets got better specs.
Not only that, they must run on a PC.
Only dowside is that they are not standalone, but thats what the Quest 3 is for.

Darth Caesium, 08 Jun 2023It's a $3500 VR+AR headset with a 90-96Hz refresh rate... moreWith a resolution of 3391 x 3391 per eye I expected 60hz due to the M2 having to do all the work, and the device running on a battery if not plugged to a wall.

Darth Caesium, 08 Jun 2023It's a $3500 VR+AR headset with a 90-96Hz refresh rate... moreYou're welcome to refresh 23 million pixels at refresh rates above 90Hz and see how much compute power you'll need for that. Will 7950X plus RTX 4090 with combined 700W TDP be enough? Well, good luck attaching this combo to your head.

                          It's a $3500 VR+AR headset with a 90-96Hz refresh rate. That's some new levels of stupidity.

I'm eagerly awaiting version 3 with 120-144Hz refresh rate and at least 5 hours of battery life.

Seems fine for now. Not expecting miracles.
