The card is so small, there is no feature you could add that could replace that utility. Especially if you're already putting in a dual sim tray. Evena. Single SIM tray, make it double sided. Takes up almost no more extra space, provides a lot more function. I don't think a microSD card is big enough to warrant that argument.

        And screen size define compactness just as well as the physical dimensions. The bezels are so small nowadays that it isn't a factor

            The physical dimensions define compactness - iPhone 12/13/14 & Samsung Galaxy S22/S23 have (marginally) bigger screens and are dimensionally equal +/- a mm here and there.

            They should be your indicators.

            I hope this sells well though and that they've took on the feedback from reviews and used it as a basis for improvement.

            Market competition is always good.

Also their camera has been improved since Zenfone 9. And yeah they should improve their software policy too (but heyy, their software is still better than MIUI, right? There's at least a reason to choose this over Xiaomi. And there's 3.5mm jack too, if you prefer wired headphones. You won't get one anymore from Samsung, Pixel, or Xiaomi (?) with that pricing).

                          If the headphone jack stays on for this phone, I'd think very seriously about buying it as my second phone.

                                    So glad to know it's 5.8" and not 6.3".
