Same Oppo pay same Nokia to use Audio tech called Nokia Ozo, that is marketing tech which average consumer can easily see.
But when it come to Crucial tech which make or break phone they dont want to pay.

OEMs have options to pay and use or not pay/dont use the tech.

HTC has been out of the market for so long. As for Asus, maybe they plans but haven't started suing them yet. Nokia even sued Blackberry before and then Blackberry sued them back for alot more.

Almost everybody else is either with enlargened and still growing BRIICS or just don't want to impose the US lead sanctions.
The world is divided into two camps, this will continue and escalate.
US wants to stop China's access to latest semi mfg nodes, best AI tech, data hoarding of people's personal data and so forth. US wants to retain all this for itself, in order to achieve total military superiority in all domains, incl. cyber- and information spaces. This is their clear, publicly stated goal.
Thus the world divides again, and new Cold War 2.0 is emerging.

Reading your comment i now understand why chinese brands need to be banned, ignorance ain't gonna go away. And they need to be scrapped out of western markets fast, if the world still wants to see innovation.
