They used NOKIA patents for months without paying to the innovator a dime and were warned again and again. They were brought to justice and made to pay back. What is unfair about that? Give us a break. NOKIA is a respectfull brand with more then a hundred years of presence, what are the other two money laundry "brands"? If something is unfair, is the fact that they are still allowed to sell their garbage legaly in EU and were not forced to close by now. Even though the only thing they did since their existance is reverse engineering and copy/ paste, to sum it up: inteligence theft. So not only that BBK releases scrapp brands every now and then to probably dodge Taxes and who knows what other sinister doings, they all are actually something respectful that are affraid of unfairines in europe? Can't stop laughing.
Interesting how the villan is always praised among the ignorant.

      Because for those type of users, phone is not just a phone. It can be anything, from basic tool for communication or taking pics and gaming console all the way to status simbol and their political preference. So, it's very far from being all simple black and white thing.

        I really think because Oppo & ViVO felt that the xourt rulling is *NOT* fair.
        Thus they're worried after this, there will be a next *UNFAIR* rulling.
        So, if they agree to this one, they will extorted again and again
        ..... I hope I'm wrong, but that's what I think it is.

Nokia is Respons... moreThe fact that BBK decided to pull out of some of the European countries instead of simply paying out to Nokia after the court ruling definitely says a lot - They aren't making a lot of profit out of that region. Nokia is a telecommunication giant comparable to Huawei and everyone pays them a licence fee to use their network-related patents, so Oppo and Vivo refusing to do so and rather choosing to retreat from those areas implies something isn't going right with their business over there.

Nokia is Respons... moreNone denies Nokia's contribution, but that's past, today everyone knows that Nokia phones are nowhere near as good as Vivo phones. There's no justification in using past to justify removal of purchase options for consumers. If Nokia made phones better than Vivo than that's one thing, but they clearly never do. They removed Vivo but replaced with no alternative.
                              The Nokia of past is long gone, it's all HMD.

                                Nokia is Responsible for Smartphone you are using today, Them and Ericson they created mobile data which you are using today, Nokia Made Nfc which you are using to pay, They made significant development in Bluetooth low power which you use today, first to Pioneer things like Ois in camera, Wireless charging, faster refresh rate, and lot of technology.

                                No single Company which make phone and dont use Nokia phone, All Oems Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Lebovo etc pay Nokia and none of them complain.

                                Nokia spent over $100B in research, Because they dont Make phones today doeant mean others should use their innovation for free.

                                Oppo has no where near Nokia ability to innovate, but those small innovation they have like fast charging they make sure only them use, they dont even support pd in some model to show how selfish they are, but others tech they want to use for free.
