That is exactly what YOU need to do, since you made a fool of yourself on Tensor G3 article, with basically nonsense comments, literally have no clue about CPUs and how they work, no clue about cores, process nodes and in general how benchmaking works, besides benchmark scores. GSMArena deleted most of your comments for a reason. So yeah. Go do some reading first and in general find a better hobby than spamming comments with your ignorance and hate towards everything.

IMX363, 12 Jun 2023I wasn't saying 1"-type for periscope. But someth... moreThe longer is the lens range, the larger becomes with you keep sensor size.
Find X6 pro would have even thicker bump if periscope was 90mm, 120mm or 150mm using same 1/1.56" .
This is why phones with longer range decrease sensor inside periscope.
Also, price of lenses ...
120mm costs more than 60mm.
60-120mm costs more than 120mm.

Huawei had any advantage because hardware, it was never better using similar.
P10/mate 10 series were crap for photos and videos. Then comparing p20 pro 1/1.7" against other 1/2.5" was unfair and ridiculous.

1" has 12,8mm height. This ... moreI wasn't saying 1"-type for periscope. But something like 1/1.56" could be doable, no?
I would be happy with 18MP but 18MP at 4:3 is 4899 x 3674 pixels. 8K is 7680 × 4320 pixels. Since manufacturers are pushing that resolution now, 18MP can't happen.
For the main sensors I would really like an aperture larger than f1.8 though. f1.4. I like my bokeh. In my opinion that is one of the biggest differentiators now in video between phones and cameras, besides the over-sharpening.

Best phones:
1. Xperia 1V
2. Rog phones
3. Mi 13 Ultra
4. S23 Ultra
Worst phones:
1. Iphone
2. Pixel

And what on earth is "Mr G3"? You cannot even construct valid sentences. Looks like youneedhelp. Go back to kitchen making potato chips instead of commenting on electronic chips.

Noone, 12 Jun 2023Will my 4 year old xiaomi mi 9 surpass a google 6 pro?Snapdragon 855 vs Tensor G1. On paper G1 is more powerful but I'm quite certain 855 is far more efficient. But Mi9 as you say is too old and isn't flagship standard anymore. Had it been 3 year old Mi10, I'd recommend that over even a Pixel 7 pro anyday.

1" has 12,8mm height. This is just for the area where you have pixels and transistors.
Does not count the sensor bezels.
Current phones have about 15mm thickness while using sensor parallel to screen, imagine 90 degrees.
I would feel satisfied with 18MP 1/1.7" bayer behind 26 - 104mm f1.8 - f2.4lens.

Those 3rd party sites like Belsimpel and Gozimbo have increased the price to over €1,500. Probably the €1300 price they were quoting wasn't real at all as they kept just increasing the expected delivery time on their website. Don't know why gsmarena is predicting prices based on unofficial third party resellers.

But for modern, mainstream phones, it was Huawei who, as I recall, was the first to start mentioning larger sensors as a selling point in their presentations.

I never cared for zoom until I learned about focal lengths and lens compression. Now I would take a good, high quality zoom over an ultrawide.
1"-type 48-50MP Bayer sensor for the main camera, 2x-10x periscope and ultrawide with big sensors would be the perfect setup in my opinion.

actually., 12 Jun 2023Absolutely, it is about time for using bigger sensors for P... moreProblem with this is the fact of size of system.
This is why oppo is using something like 57mm but crops to 65mm.
1/1.56" at 100-125mm would make bump even thicker.
Sony has 1/1.7" cropped to 1/3.5" to extand range. Full 1/1.7" would be more than enough at 90mm.
Size limitation is why phones with "10x" have crap 1/4".
If any phone had lens of 350 or 400mm, it would surely be using 1/5" or even 1/6".
These are useless as front cameras at 22-25mm, imagine at 400mm.

It has same specs of GN5, but some... moreI know, I meant a proper successor to GN2. Which probably will be coming soon, being updated and larger while staying 50MP.
Some of the best camera phones when it comes to pictures, were Pixels and Vivo using even quite outdated GN1.
