But while watching something on bed or even PC is not much useful as you mentioned that charge dries up and so need to charge that again & again.
That is a hectic task.

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2023I'm not against but they must charge quickly. I don... moreSure I still don't use memory card because I'm still fine with my 128GB phone (I don't even use 2/3 of them because I just don't want to store much files on my phone). I also use some kind of wireless earphone everytime I go out. But it's a different story when I'm at home, sitting in front of my PC or when I'm using my phone on my bed while listening to music, I feel that wired one is more convinient in that condition. I still hate the fact that I need to charge my wireless earphone everytime it runs out of battery. So, just because you don't need it, doesn't mean everyone elses also don't need it, or shouldn't need it. Sure I don't use it much, but it's better to be there but not used than not exist at all.

I'm not going to buy it. I already have a wireless powerbank. Am I using it? Only when there is no electricity. Why should I? Anything other than the original wired charger damages the battery. This includes fast chargers even original ones...

I usually don't care about environment stuff but this would be really way too ignorant, even for $ hungry companies. Wireless charging simply wastes way more energy and generates way more heat than the wire does that it's just plain stupid to discuss anything like this.

It is not just charging, what about file transfer? There's has to be a port.

Literally the same sh*t but with more steps. I can only see Apple jumping in and their fanatics going along with it.

Many forget that a port is not only and exclusively for recharging, on the contrary: with the world moving towards a "one device to rule them all", it will be increasingly necessary to have some form of physical connection (USB, pins, etc., you name it) to connect accessories, hard drives, and so on and so forth. Last but not least: many countries (EU in the lead) are pushing for the "right (obligation) to repair", and there is no way for any technician to diagnose a "dead" device (turned off, without the possibility of a wireless connection) without a wired connection, even just to extract data from the memory bank.

I don't want portless devices
But they are inevitable digitalisation is too great
Everything is pointing towards the invisible / intangible connection, virtual girlfriends, digital currencies
Fight it all you want but deep down we all know it's true and it's coming and it cannot be stopped

Now these dinosaurs from the last century have come to complain about a survey!! since apple removes the volume buttons and the charging port, all android manufacturers are going to do it too, apple is the one who sets the path, the trends..... STARTING WITH SAMSUNG WHICH FIRST MAKES MOCK BUT THEN ENDS UP BY COPYING

I'm not against but they must charge quickly. I don't need headphone jack either. I don't want to hold my phone forever coupled by messy cables especially when I take a bus. I prefer tws earbuds coupled by a smart band so that I keep my phone in my pocket and change songs easily even without using earbud built in controls. I don't need micro sd slot as well. 256gb of internal storage is more than enough for me. And when I want to reset my phone I transfer my data to my usb flash drive via otg.

If ports go away, it kinda marks a huge downfall in the IEM market, which really really sucks.

Port less phones will be better. Charging cables do cause problems in long run. They become loose and provide slow charging etc

From article; "So our question for today is this – you already bought a phone without a headphone jack, will you buy one with no wired port at all?"
Your question is flawed. I've never bought a phone without a headphone jack and I never will as long as there are phones with a headphone jack. Even if it means holding onto a phone until it's software is too outdated to use modern apps
