If the punch hole were centered and the bezels symmetrical (like on the S23) this would've been a pretty sweet phone.

Also, they could do with an extra Telephoto 3rd camera. Btw, the ZenFone series didn't start with 8 and 9, and those 2 aren't their all time best sellers, the fans fav was ZenFone 6 and 7 Pro.

With the SD 8 gen 2, all it really needs is a 1 inch main sensor and good battery life...and it'll be the best phone ever. It would even top the regular S23.

Seems to be currently using/testing it for a review so I'm pretty sure even GSMArena already has a review unit and they are in the process of writing a review in time for the announcement.

People from countries where Sony phones are not available think they are not available everywhere except few places.
People around me think either Sony is dead or that they sell only within Japan. A few years back I tried buying Sony phone while traveling in Europe and was not able to find the latest model. I still think Sony phones are available only in Japan and the US.

this tweet might just be a lie! it identical to the Zenfone 9 nothing at all has changed! (yeah just the writing sure!) even the amount of the protrusions of the cameras is identical with every ring and camera details lines and those of the edges and antennas on the phone are identical

That's the point of Zenfone anyway. You get best of tech (Cameras, Sound Connectivity, Battery) and that too in a small form factor. Proof that you don't need a giant phone.

I think the only issue is Sony doesn't have enough confidence or the fact that Sony doesn't re-enter a market once they pack-up and leave.

You need a small hole for fixed cameras, a larger hole if it moves up-down-right left. Adding even more degree of movement will lead to need of a larger window so that the view doesn't get obstructed. That's why adding OIS to selfie is next to impossible without a big notch.

the camera bump size makes sense for this thing.
unlike realme c55 or any other budget midrange or low end models, whether they have large bumps but tiny sensor. it might be not fair to compare compact flagship to a bulky cheap midranger but i always question what is the point of large camera bump if there is a tiny sensor inside?? was it for back design attraction??
