I wish Asus will go back the the ZF6 design of Delicated SD + 3.5mm. I would say the ZenFone 7 Pro but add in 3.5mm and change the SOC to Dimensity 9200 would be perfect today. They should also separate the TelePhoto out of the flip module so the flip Module is lighter.
          Or, ZenFone 6, add in OIS for the main camera and change the SOC to MTK D9200.

            Anonymous, 17 Jun 2023And asus has fragile plastic back, also lacks telephoto XDYou mean the 10mp telephoto with 3x zoom? That's a filler camera tbh. Pretty sure a 200mp main camera can do better than it. Even my Zenfone 8 with 64mp main can do 2x.

            Also, A good quality plastic back >> glass back which requires a case so that it doesn't shatter on a. 2ft drop. Zenfone 9 plastic quality sucked though no doubt about that. Hopefully they have improved it with Zenfone 10.

                      Still using Zenfone 6, because NOTHING else on the market offers:

                      1. Two active SIM-card slots
                      2. 1TB memory card (active at the same time, doesn't take SIM card slot)
                      3. 3.5mm headphone jack with good audio soundf
                      4. No cutouts or other types of screen holes
                      5. Full 1 day battery in real use (8+ h SOT with my patterns)
                      6. All local 4G/LTE bands supported (no missing bands)
                      7. Good enough cam, good enough SoC / speed

                      The only thing that is missing is a modern camera module and a modern fast top-end SoC, and updates, which is the Achilles heel of Asus (only 2 years of updates, really lagging behind others).

                      Wish Asus would still offer something similar, Zenfone 6 was totally unique and offered something no other phone offered.

                      Phone markets are now totally boring. All are doing almost identical copies of each other, and the only major differences are how they look like on the backside.

                            I honestly dont mind them keeping the same design for another year. Zenfone 9 is such a gorgeous device

                                  So not only will they most likely have no SD slot, but no Telephoto camera as well? And the design is basically Zenfone 9 + iPhone 5's frame. Great work Asus, really great work. Now I will wait for 11.

Only upside is more software updates, and that's only a commitment issue from Asus. Thankfully we have a lot of options this year, s23, Zenfone 10, Pixel 8. Looks like compact phones are back on the menu.
