I am using nexus 4 since last few months and I am sure that we need screens equal to bigger than 4.5 if we really need to enjoy a smart phone. Not gonna sign it but I believe there must be people who want smaller screens so wish you good luck.

to say the ideal small size high end smartphone would be an android device with 4.3 screen with the thickness and dimensions near iphone 5 with a tegra 4 or snapdragon 600 , 6 MP of ultra pixel camera , slcd 3 , aluminum smart phone , 32 GB of memory and 2 gigs of ram , with htc sense and zoe , amazing isn't it??

for large phones , i will buy htc one with updated camera of 8 Ultra-Mega pixels , or htc droid dna , they are awesome , killer phones

            Hi,

I have made at least one comment before on gsmarena regarding this subject and I am glad this is being posted and a petition has also been started.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 because I can not find such specifications in a smaller phone.

In my opinion it is not that pocketable. I find it rather big (height and width).

[deleted post]Lol what did you not understand about the fact that Apple already offer high end smartphone with iphone 4S & 5 in a 3.5" to 4" form factor. Nobody buy WP. Android are selling 1.5 million smartphone a day. Android is the only logical option because Apple already offer it and WP don't sell well.

For years I was following the mobile industry closely, but nowadays it's just boring, every time I see an announcement for a new high-end phone I know it's just 0.1 or 0.2 inches larger screen and a slightly better CPU than the last year's model.

Choice and any sort of variation (or even innovation) in this industry died years ago. If no manufacturer is willing to spend a little money to make a QWERTY phone I'm not willing to give them my money.

Why don't you share the idea with other well known tech sites so we can collectively reach a wider audience for the greater good of the cause.

From the outside it seems a bit odd ignoring such a blatant gap in the market.
Then again I guess that so much is made of available screen real estate and technology ie it becomes a key selling point, so oems are going to be a little reluctant release a smaller phone containing the top end tech if it may in some way undermine their flagship device.

This is stupid. Phones are fine as they are now. They shouldn't be any smaller than an iphone. What should happen though is phone companies need to stop suing each other. Why waste money suing each other when you can use that money to move technology forward.

i love flip phones so I was thinking of a flip phone, top part with 1080 screen lower part with low resolution for numbers changing to letters .

I haven't signed it also, but just for one reason - there is no mentioned battery development. And ALL stuff (small or big, new or old) can't run without energy.

HTC One is the best smartphone so far. Premium quality. User Interface is amazing. battery life is so much better than Apple n Samsung devices.
