They are selling it cheap because it has only below frequencies:
LTE: 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz (US)
and these frequencies will not work in Europe or Asia.

People please... Here in Mexico, an undeveloped country that is right next to the US the phone will most likely cost about 11,500 MXN which is 935 USD aprox... So, don't complain >:(

$575 means around £375, but in the UK the best price is £480. So, i am not stupid. I will not buy HTC...

Does the box contain any kind of earphone set, I cant find any kind of information on that. Not even on the 64gb dev edition, i dont care if it has beats or the normal ones. The order page just says Phone, USB/Wall charger and User guides but what about the earphones??

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2013will this dev edition phone receives quick android update, ... moreAbsolutely not! If you want to get updates, you need to get a nexus phone. All the developer phone adds is that it's unlocked so you can use it with any carrier and the bootloader is unlocked so you can add 3rd party ROMs like cyanogenmod. If you stay with HTC's ROMs, you will get updates when HTC releases them, which unfortunately is often late if at all. What it does provide though (and this is a big advantage), is that it bypasses the carrier's delay in getting the update out. So if HTC were to actually mend its way and provide timely updates, while it would not be at the same pace as the Nexus updates, it may be just a few weeks or a month or so later. But HTC has shown no indication whatsoever in doing that.

So from an update perspective, you really can't beat the 16GB unlocked Nexus 4 for $350.

WTF! It's actually cheaper than the price you pay in Taiwan! I thought buying it for $693 Australian Dollar, which is the same price if I purchase it in Taiwan, was good enough. But no, they just have to give the Americans more incentives to buy this bad boy. Sigh, wish I am American too.
