Hzzif, 26 Jun 2023Is this chipset comparable to a Snapdragon 695 or better? It should be better. Gen 1 was on par with 695

why don't they just put some older flagship chipsets into mid-range and entry-level phones? what can be improved in mid-range chipsets? just take snapdragon 870 or 888 or 8 gen 1. put directly a flagship chipest instead of some improved crap chipset.

                  Thank u, next

iWalkman, 26 Jun 2023Does it have AV1 decoding?Knowing Qualcomm's track record with this kind of stuff, it probably won't. Like they've just barely now introduced it with their flagship 8 Gen 2 after so long - so I'm really not expecting to see it on this ultra budget chip.

It's weird because MediaTek supports this feature for a long time, even on their budget 1080.

                      It uses Samsung's 4nm

Thus this 4Gen2 is Qualcomm answer to mediatek
And Xiaomi lately is too qualcomy.

Meanwhile ONLY Motorola is popularizing the 6 Gen 1.... and Qualcomm is likely to release the 6 Gen 2 soon.

Is this chipset comparable to a Snapdragon 695 or better?

It’s quite impressive to see UFS 3.1 making it all the way to the 4-series SoCs, as well as support for faster RAM. In combination with HRR and a decent GPU, these are features which not even flagships had not so long ago.

PRoArtsy, 26 Jun 20231080p Video Capture is frustrating in 2023. My old Nokia 6.... moreI guess they cheap out on the ISP but I don’t know for sure. I only know that high-end phones (that are not iPhones) from a few years had problems recording 4K more than a few minutes without overheating. I mostly remember this about Sony.

                                    Does it have AV1 decoding?

After many months, only Redmi Note 12 has popularized 4 Gen 1. What happened to other brands? Qualcomm's latest processors are rarely used and OEMs are turning a lot to Mediatek.

Hemedans, 26 Jun 2023Even sd 4 gen 2 support usb 3.2, but oem still use usb 2.0 That will probably increase the price.
