08 July 2023
The phones are expected later this year with new chipsets and cameras. Once again, the best improvements will be reserved for the Pro model.

But there is a great app for contacts on Accrescent Store called Connect You, or you can use openContact (but I don't have many contacts as sms and calls are not great, they might be stored on my sim card).

ithehappy, 08 Jul 2023Nobody cares about rebranded exynos.Nobody cares what processor is in their phone at all. Go and ask anyone on the street, 99% have never heard of Snapdragon or Exynos or Tensor, and they probably don't even care.

It seems a little odd that Google is making the Pixel 8 smaller than the 7a (even though the display is 6.17" rather than 6.1" due to smaller bezels). Keeping a display size of 6.3" would have given people the choice of 6.1", 6.3" and 6.7", which makes more sense.

Full of issues, that some famous youtubers will not talk about while costumers will be flooding internet with issues reports and returning devices.

            Nothing new

Flat screen on the 8 Pro would be neat but I can't bring myself to buy an Exynos phone.

I've heard some leaks that said the non-pro battery will actually increase slightly, to near 4500.

And I have to laugh when people mention ray tracing on mobile. Ray tracing is only just starting to show benefits on massive desktop monsters like the 4090. On mobile, it's going to be a useless gimmick for another 5-10 years.

Pixels are the best when it come to security and privacy with graphene.

                      Why 1344x2992 ?

It will consume more battery than a regular 1080p+ panel, but it's not even 1440p, so it's completely useless.

The pixel 8 will be more expensive than the pixel 7

The more rounded display corners are a step in the wrong direction. Also, Google needs to bring the camera bar to the top à la Nexus 6p.
