Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro: what we know so far

The phones are expected later this year with new chipsets and cameras. Once again, the best improvements will be reserved for the Pro model.

    I like the design of Pixel 8. I mean, the proportions and rounded corners look better. Hopefully the same design language is followed for 8a.
    SoC may be rebranded Exynos, but since it is synced with software, results are better ( at least I never had any issues with performance of my 6a).

        Tensor G3 with Cortex-X3 seems to be in fact the Exynos 2300.

            Pixels had Snapdragons, it was all fine until Google wanted to be like Apple. Google is not a hardware company, they should leave it to Qualcomm.

            GN2 is nice. 1"-type sensor would have been better though.

            Finally, I am glad screens are going flat again, not a fan of curved screens.

Traditional raster is still way more efficient if you want improved graphics quality. The amount of raw power required for Ray Tracing to look better than rasterization requires something like the 4090. Minimum.

              This has nothing to do with Google. This is just how graphics technology works. Something like a phone needs to catch up with the 3080 in raw GPU power before wasting silicon and power on ray tracing.

                        Check Dimensity 9000 Vs Exynos 2200 comparison before talking BS.

                          It's a good choice to lower the res of the 8 pro, since it saves more battery life and you can't tell the difference from everyday use.

While it's overall uncommon, I've seen this spelling being used just enough to come off as some sort of intentional wordplay. Or maybe I'm overthinking and it's just a misspelling.

                                I think the regular Pixel 8 looks quite nice, especially compared to the P7. The 8 Pro is nothing to write home about imo.
