Reuters: Huawei to launch smartphone with 5G connectivity later this year

The new 5G chips will be fabbed on SMIC’s N+1 manufacturing process using Huawei's EDA software tools.

A04e has a Helio P35 chipset which is introduced in 2018, 2 years before Kirin 710A getting announced and doesn't even have a Cortex-A7x chip. P35 is fully built with 8-core (4+4 actually) Cortex-A53, while Kirin 710A has 4-core Cortex-A73 and 4-core Cortex-A53. Clockspeed doesn't matter here.

You have to understand that in the world... morePeople who buy their devices outside China install Google Playstore meaning Huawei app store is no good and even they install it some apps require Google Service for an app to work. Even in China Huawei is in the “Others” category. They are nothing without Google, Huawei devices are dead on arrival without Google. Even their TV’s that they sell outside China comes with an Android box.

          All I can say an Android phone with NO Google Spy Services have better deep sleep(no waking up even on standby), less heat, & longer battery lifetime maybe even double that of phones ladded with Google Spy Services running in the background after comparing both recently bought budget phones Huawei Y61 & its counterpart Samsung Galaxy A04E that is not only ladden with Google Spy Services but also Samsungs crapware that put the phone to a crawl, heats up & eats almost half of the phones stock storage/ram.

          And that's is my real life experience on both budget devices.

You have to understand that in the world... moreDude chill, Huawei is nothing and everybody knows it :) China has only numbers but no technology, USA/Europe are miles ahead of China technologically, China's only purpose is to manufacture western technologies, that's the only thing they good at, nothing else :)

                Chinese 5g chipset will perform same as Chinese first consumer GPU :D

You have to understand that in the world's largest market, China, they don't use the Play Store. "Most users" with a Huawei use other applications, other social networks and don't care whether they have access to Google Maps or not. Huawei isn't just 'another' company, it's one of the biggest Chinese groups, not just in phones, but in all kinds of fields, and that's why Volkswagen went to see this company about working together in the automotive sector. A sector that is also dominated by China. We're the minority, Europe and the USA don't even have 800 million inhabitants, they have 1.4 billion and sell a lot in Africa...

Everyone knows the story of the visit to the Xerox campus. Companies spend their time stealing each other's patents and recruiting competitors' staff, as Apple did with its watch and even more recently Meta did with its copy of Twitter... Huawei is no doubt copying as well, and with great talent.
