Did people forget EU got Snapdragon in S23 only because Samsung had too?

We pay more and get worse SoC otherwise (Exynos), and it was already leaked Exynos is coming back to EU with S24.

I hate this.

I wonder why Samsung is still imposing inferior chips for the biggest part of the world (not that these SD chips are soo fab but at least they are a bit mor cautious with the power consumption (at least as from the 8 gen + 1). I presume it comes down to the higher cost for SD chips. I can imagine that it will cost you less when you use home made stuff. Not I can fully understand that but only if your home-grown stuff isn't shit. Not that equinox stuff is shit but is certainly lacs (sometimes even big time) behind SD's offerings. It's certainly even more important to make sure that your creation is optimized to get there is get out of a chip. Samsung is always a hit or mis situation, sometimes they make very good stuff and sometimes it's not worthy of your hard-earned cash. And sadly enough it's often in the high-end tier where they make the most profit per unit. Even the mid-range offerings are not spared sometimes (A53...A33...). I'm not gonne speak about budget phones. Most of the time they are ok or even quite good if you are not expecting premium performance.

SD powdered phones in USA and some select regions and Exynos elsewhere and when they have leftover snapdragon stocks they sell it by re-introducing them in exyno regions at higher prices

Well played Samsung 👏 if that's true then I'm not buying a Samsung phone ever again

Exynos 2200 is the worst SoC in the last 10 years. 8+ gen 1 is great.

F is for fold SM-F711B and this model number is for Flip 3, not S23 FE. I mean these are basics that we all know

UltraHD, 14 Jul 2023Well with SD it might be worth buying it if it's not p... moreThe bigger issues is that most people don’t care.

I have a S22U for my work with Exynos (company paid so not mine to keep), and while the performance is fine most of the time, usage time (not standby) is so atrocious I am stupified a iPhone 13 Pro beats it in usage time (don’t look at what this site claims, S22U has worse battery life than their claims, and S23U is actually spot on)

s21+ user here with useless exynos causing endless boot loops. I have to say exynos cpu is a disastrous. Good luck to new buyer.

David Salsero, 14 Jul 2023Now the important thing will be to see a comparison of both... moreWith SD this might be a great value, since the S23 is $799 i would expect this to be around $599 to be right between A54 and S23.

Well with SD it might be worth buying it if it's not priced too close to S23, Exynos variant can f*** off.
Haven't they learned from S22 that Exynos 2200 was and still is a TOTAL DISASTER? Who are they trying to scam here lol..

Now the important thing will be to see a comparison of both products and see which is the best.
The size seems perfect to me to compete against the Pixel 7a and quite possibly the Pixel 8
Regarding the processor: I opted for the US one with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and you?
