The very first iPhone was a literal mess that Jobs has multiple units during his presentation because they kept overheating. He moves to another one when the current thing he is using became... unusable. wtf.
Amazing how people still lapped these up.

As every digital device have a certain lifetime, someday it will completely die and you won't be able to repair it because hardware is age-barred. It is not an item which can hold its life for hundreds or thousands of years. It is nothing but e-waste.

People saying „this thing is useless in 2023, just 4GB, battery is probably dead, e-waste“ sound like people who would buy a painting from someone important, I don’t know Picasso or whatever, just to remove the painting, use the back side of the painting to jot down notes and use the frame to hang a picture of their family.

its like trading nft in crypto markets. buy low sell high for ultra rare items

            is it money laundering?

How foolish is that, buying those things which they can't even use or face lowering price drastically if open the box🤣

It's gotten ridiculous at this point and the 'greatest country on earth' shouldn't have homeless or issues with hiring if it weren't for greed and those folks bypassing everything by giving politicians hush money.

Yet again people don't understand the real value of the phone
It wasn't even that expensive when it was new

People are June buying a box they won't even open so there is no way prove it is even real

This makes no sense at all and bad buying habits is a strong trait of apple fans who just waste money and focus on fashion not function over form

There can be only two reasons.
Either it's money laundering as is done by rich people when they purchase art (or NFTs), or really anything they don't have to pay tax on.
                                  Or it's just plain stupidity.
In any case, it reminds me of Oscar Wilde's famous quote: "People know the price of everything, and the value of nothing."

I really don't understand the point of it. It's just an old phone with a merely 4 Gb and a battery that probably don't last more than an hour. Everyone is free to do what they want with their money but still, it's a stupid thing to pay so much money for nothing.
