Aah. Please sony, fix your automatic/ai picture results. Yes your sensor are the best or even over the top.
But tbh nowadays i just need quick picture with great results without needing to manually adjust.
If i want great manual results. I just use your alpha camera
So before you guys can fix the computational camera thing. I'm gonna stuck on sammy s23 plus. And their next gen s24

Not like those photos or videos that is being taken are more than hours or so that would reach GB size while phots are only MB anyways so its not a big deal.
I ain't a pro photographer/videographer who needs those DLSR Cameras heck even some DLSR's still use sdcards not solely compact flash & casual users don't buy expensive stuff anyways.
I can deal with a decent upto 180mb or maybe more(with decent card readers) transfer rates.
Sad part is you are one of those who is fine if manufacturers keep cutting features on a product not exclusively phones when in reality there's really no point removing them in the first place other than force you to buy more expensive stuff with less & less features or functionality.

Yes, they need to make a profit, but that has nothing to do with cutting the MicroSD slot, that is anti-consumer practice, attempt to leave folks with no choice but to pay for they overpriced high capacity models, unfortunately things do not work out that way.
Generally speaking those who can bear with the slower speed of MicroSD cards are those who are more price conscious, for me the S series in recent years (since S20) the decision to remove the sd card slots is always a deal breaker for me, and Samsung is not going to sell a S series to me until they reverse the change or make the high capacity variant more affordable (or F off forever), IMO Samsung is doing nothing but shooting themselves in the foot, and even if all phone manufacturers cut the MicroSD card slot, I will still avoid paying for the high capacity models by using thumb drives instead (less convenient compare to MicroSD card, but still save money).

I responded specifically to anonymous claim that MicroSD cards are a godsend for smartphone users who are heavily into photography and video. As they actually will use the fastest storage available to them, MicroSD cards are simply too slow time consuming for them when dealing with hundreds or more photos and videos.
The price discrepancy between 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB internal storage variants can be quite high. But smartphone manufacturers also have to make a profit or they will go bust! UFS 4.0 internal smartphone storage from Samsung, Micron etc is recently new so obviously it's not going to be cheap. Personally I don't mind MicroSD cards are gone from flagships as UFS 4.0 is way faster and you can now get 512GB-1TB internal smartphone storage variants.
It's only a very small amount of smartphone consumers still complaining about no MicroSD card slot, no headphone jack, no removeable batteries these days. Though the EU are legally forcing removable batteries back to all smartphones sold in the EU beginning in 2027.

- Wrong UFS 4.0 & UFS 3.1 internal storage doesn't have less read/write cycles than MicroSD cards, it actually has more read/write cycles. MicroSD cards are built on a ancient architecture from decades ago, that's why in digital photography MicroSD cards have been ditched for the much faster and longer lasting CFexpress cards for digital cameras. But CFexpress is far too big (plus very very expensive) to fit in smartphones so super fast UFS 4.0 internal storage is the best alternative 👍🏾

Kingchin33, 26 Jul 2023The fastest speed UHS-3 V90 MicroSD cards which cost around... moreNot everyone, every tasks need the fastest memory available, when I am out from home to travel for a while, i like to put from movies/animes on the storage/microsd of my phone so that I have some entertainment even I am in a place when free wifi is not available, and the fast internal storage is expensive usually (from reputable brands like samsung, they can charge you a few hundred of USD for the upgrade from 128GB to 512GB), on the other hand I can get a quality 1TB SD card (say a Sandisk Extreme with a writing speed rating of 100MB/s or above, pretty solid IMHO) for as low as USD80 from local stores, to me what annoying is not only the phone manufacturers charge high price premium for their high speed internal storage, but also remove the option by the users to choose for slower but cheaper storage, that is anti-consumer practice IMO....

Even the older UFS 3.1 internal storage now on midrange smartphones have much faster speeds than MicroSD cards.
So if you're using a MicroSD card constantly for photos/videos you will going at a snails pace! Compared to using a flagship smartphones blazing fast UFS 4.0 internal storage or even a midrange with UFS 3.1 internal storage.

If Sony wants to sell their smartphones, they should focus on the physical design(aesthetics) first. Seldom people buys Sony smartphones nowadays because of their physical design.

It really depends on the sensors.
If the 5 V has the same main sensor as the 1 V, then they can do 2-3x almost loseless zoom with it.
