Anonymous, 10 Aug 2023I can't believe i have to defend usb c port design but... moreMy experiments show Apple lightning is stronger at bending. The bit in the middle makes impossible cleaning the USB-C socket also its cable plugs cannot be cleaned of dust, on inside connectors.

I can't believe i have to defend usb c port design but 'the bit in the middle', which is the weak bit, will never break because it's fully enclosed in the phone so nothing will ever touch it except the part that slots in. Lighting is the opposite where the strong bit is protected and the weak bit is exposed. Usb c is very clever, unlike some of you

When I use my proprietary Xiaomi charger it charges my Poco faster than another charger with a higher wattage, so it's hardly shocking for Apple to do this.

The lightning port design along with the lightning cable tip is actually superior to usb-c from an engineering and reliability / endurance point of view whereas usb-c is superior in technical specification as in highest transfer and charging speed.
Imagine if the normal USB-A port had a irreversible design like usb-c but a square one, not rounded.
