It has not limited me in any way, and I don't know what you're referring to. I have always used Androids and Windows PCs but last year got an M2 Air. It's superior to Windows equivalents in every way.

Do they adress the throttling/ overheating issues of the Macbook Air and Macbook Pro this time or will it get even worse with the M3? Cause as it is now, performance doesn't matter when you have issues like that.

MacOS is limited system compared to Windows and learning to use it is something people don't want to do. Even many iOS users have only Windows PC at home, just because Mac is simply too limited.
No, M3 or any other Apple's chip is not a competition to Intel or AMD, unless it is available for anyone to use. But then it also may prove itself not as fast as Geekbench says.

M3 is going to have to be really good. Disappointing Mac and iPad sales figures at the moment, fell 7% and 22%.

While the performance on intel/amd chips is still better even though developers don't optimize their apps on windows as much they do for mac but still intel/amd chip perform better

This CPU is best for editing (core i9 performance, no need fan with less power hungry) and not for gaming.
