Apple's M3 arrives in 2024 with more cores and considerably higher performance

The M3 Max configuration is said to have 16 CPU cores and 40 GPU cores.

Similarly priced and comparable 13th gen intel CPUs are 40% better in multi core and 20% better in single core on every other benchmark.
This is after the fact that 13th gen Intel CPUs are 10nm. 7nm intel will probably obliterate everything.
Although people do cope by bringing power to performance ratio, who cares, at the end of the day, I want my tasks to be done faster.

    M4 arrives in 2025 with more number of cores and increased speed and it continues that way...

            LOL. M3 will be powerful, but Apple will keep putting 8GB RAM and neutered 256GB SSD Afro their $1300 laptop. The most cheapskate trillion dollar company ever.

              Seems interesting.

              Apple's usually way more powerful than Intel or AMD when it comes to their chipsets.

                    Not an Apple fan but so far so good.

                      Apple chip is for only apple devices while Intel and AMD chips you find in every brand computers and even tablets. You also can buy intel and amd chips when you build your own desktop computer or upgrade it.

Now when AMD and Apple are breathing down their neck out of nowhere, they slowly start moving (like the new i9, new gpus etc...). Good for consumers. Finally some innovation, potentially even price wars in best case scenario.
