Carl Pei maybe gone from one plus, but his influence in building top premium phones is still alive at one plus. Since purchasing the one plus 11 phone on it's release date, my experience has been better than I could have ever imagined. And with that said, I'm already dreaming of buying one plus 13. Thanks Carl Pei, you did great and I know your latest company "Nothing" will be equally as good or maybe even better.

Like removing the headphone jack. No one asked for that. And many people still play retro games and enjoy them, for one they're not politically infested. Why pack that much ram on a phone! (price hike yes pay extra for the things you don't need)
No one actually uses it except the lazy OS or app makers.
No matter how much they put RAM in there the phone will use over half of it just to run few programs or it self.

Is good, for real ps3, xbox 360 and Wii U emulation in Android and in the future should not be less than 16GB.

UltraHD, 10 Aug 2023Lmao who needs 24GB RAM on a phone???Man same question was when Apple had 1GB of ram and it was enough now they use 6GB and some very clomplex games barely run.
Same was here with 4 later 8 or 16GB disk space and now certain people havent enough even 1 or 2TB.
Same were here when 60Hz screens were enought then in 2015 Sony Z5 premium were first with 4K since then all people needs 120Hz or Above.
Same were here when people used 5V/1A charger and were particulary happy with that now even 150W is not enough for people addicted to fast charging.
Now try to imagine charging an Oukitel RT7 tablet with 32 000 mAh cell with such slow charger it will takes months to charge froma flat battery and only when deevice is turned off.
Since time is money faster is always better, like bigger is always better.
Soon or later App developers, many various engineers, phone and other electronic and electric device companies, random people aroud the globe etc. will create apps and devices which will be usefull for 24GB ram or even better.
Please do remember Apple last time presented a laptop with 96GB ram and 8TB of disk space for 8500 dollars. Which you can call a completelly useless.
Old computers were also gret for their time and era and yet now you cant imagine your self playing old dune, price of persia, wolfenstein 3D or golden axe on a 286 computer can you???

24 gb is overkill for a phone 16 gb should be enough.insated they should cut corners to made it 200$ cheep

Most regular tasks use the SoC, and even then SD8gen2 has caught up to Apple A16, especially in GPU.
RAM is still important. Safari on iPhones is notorious in reloading tabs.
As for Android, anything more than 8GB in RAM is also useless as the OS and most OEMs have aggressive RAM management.
