This is some BS move, 24GB RAM for a phone, what are you gonna do with all that RAM? This just like DLSS & FSR that made moderm game so badly optimized that all they relies on is software upscaling.

Virtual RAM is not real RAM. Plus no use having too many RAM because Android 🙂

There is a way to upgrade Android with Linux desktop environment via Termux. But it won't have access to hardware, so no monitor output, USB support and all other hardware. So what it needs is a prebuilt driver layer or complete prebuilt Linux desktop solution that will work when connecting external monitor.

Wow let's go! Why not make 32/64 gb standard as gaming pc's so kid's can spend 4h-6h straight playing heavy games looking into a small 6.7" screen, destroying their vision and having to wear glasses after 3 years? Beautiful....

Lets not give consumers chargers the... moreWhen you close an app Android dont free that RAM if you dont need it, it hibernates not wasting CPU resources, just RAM, that way when you open it you dont need to load it, so you dont waste battery. In 2023 8 gb is fine, but you try to make it last a few years. When I had a 2 gb RAM phone they said 512 mb is fine, 1 gb is fine. Well my 2 gb of RAM aged like fine wine.

24 GB on a 1+ phone (of all things) is the same as sticking 20 wheels on your soccer mom minivan and hyping it up as some big perk.
Sure, many wheels go brrr but what's the point of sticking so many in there when the extra wheels play absolutely ZERO role in any real life scenario? Can any of these BBKers give ONE real life instance (not edge case, I'm talking about normal people's usage) where 24 GB will do jack squat to make it worthwhile?
