iPhone 15 Pro models might still come with 8GB of RAM

At the end Windows will get affected too and the min. RAM used for them might end to be 16 GB

    I can see it going 8GB RAM with the Pro series, they need something to stand off the vanilla ones.

Am playing Mech Arena solely, and it runs almost always ~90 fps , smooth on Dimensity 810, 4/64 phone.

        But you should consider price difference all the way with iphone.

                  Shouldn't we care more about performance, smoothness and features? If they would be able to do it with 2GB RAM, fine for them.

                    No need for 8gb, majority of Macrumors users say 6gb is enough because of software optimization. So keep 6gb and make more profit, they will be many customers buying anyway.

                      Not surprising. iOS works superbly with whatever RAM it has available, even if it's just 3 or 4GB on older devices. 8GB is plenty for iPhone. On Android, it's just about sufficient, you expect at least 12GB on a high end Android phone.

                        Not so long time ago apple were convincing everybody, that they were in need of less ram due to good optimization in comparison to android. Now there are commonly android phones with 4/64 and these still work perfectly good as for the price under 200 usd. Not always the case with apple for >800 usd.

                            I bet those commenting that 6GB of RAM is enough for iPhones, will not refuse to buy an 8GB iPhone, and then start saying that 8GB is enough. If they weren't ignorant about NAND chips being in surplus, they would get a little more for their money. But hey, we need sheep anyway.

As much as I like both iPhones and Androids at thei... more24gb is absolute nich, all Android phones are stuck to mostly 8gb as standard, hell Samsung has been using 8gb as standart for flagships like almost 5 years copying Apple Approach to stick to same amount of RAM every year. So reality is 8gb is norm in Android world and going beyond 8gb is considered high amount of RAM.

As much as I like both iPhones and Androids at their own strengths, 6GB in 2023 is pretty stupid considering that Androids will be reaching 24GBs - starting with OnePlus.

                                        With the optimisation that apple does to their phones, even 6 GB will be enough for the 15 series. It's not like these phones are being used to run multiple apps at once.
