justasmile, 20 Aug 2023Yeah, but theres definitely something which contains parts ... moreWhy is it so hard for some of you to understand that, just because something is MADE (aka assembled, put together, etc) in China, DOES NOT mean it was also DESIGNED there.
Apple products are designed in the States, Sony products are designed in Japan, Sennheiser products are designed in Germany, and so on.
Do they have "Chinese parts" in them? Probably, at this point. But they're probably made to a higher standard than if it was a Chinese-branded device.
I've had my fair share to Chinese tech these past few years. Chinese brands are way too overrated, no offense. Android skins/UI's that are a mess from a code-perspective, fake camera lenses, subpar parts in general.

If this goes on sale in my country Malaysia, it will have an insane price markup. This phone is desirable, but I'd rather buy straight from China. It's far cheaper. I'm not sure if this is the case in most other countries.

Honestly having my Moto edge 40 pro which at my carrier costed 789 euros and it does equally same tricks as twice as much costly S23 ultra or Apple 14 pro max.
No need to spend 1600 eur on device plus price of accesories if this costed me less than 800 with all the accesories in the box.
Tossing money out of the window for so called better brands is nothing but a waste honeslty.
I understand its your choice but if for half price you can buy equal or better product why not.

interesting enough...
it is quite easy to import (like what i did on magic3 zhen edition)...
but i am more interested on magic v2 and mate x3...
i also fancy having an xs 2 (will huawei make another mate xs? that would be interesting)
but there is another (foldable) form factors i am interested on - the find n2 and pixel fold...
...
mix fold 3's hinge is just lacking on multi angle support...

Im writing this on a Z Fold 5, looking to switch to Honor Magic V2 when it comes and would have zero problems sporting this Xiaomi if it came to my market (however I prefer the v2 slightly). I wouldnt have any problem Be seem with any of the Brandos, simply cos i dont give a f what someone vain dork thinks. Ill choose the device that suits my needs and has a good bang for buck

Not getting a foldable ever, they are extremely impractical. Can't use a protector, can't use a case, small batteries and pathetic battery life, of course the obligatory lack of 3.5mm jack and the HUGE price.
So what's left really? Can't see anything good about them.

I do not know if it is mi14 or 14pro.
But next mi has 90mm periscope.
