I don’t see the practicality of getting any foldable phone. They are expensive fashion statements you can show off to your friends. Other than that, they have a subpar battery life, no protection as in a case and I can buy 2 or 3 decent phones for the price of a foldable. Also is the fold part itself going to stand the test of time if you keep it for more than say two years? Maybe, maybe not.

Trust me, by next Sunday when the results out. It will be something like this "Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is well beloved with many interest in getting one".
You know that the poll is being "rig" since the article / poll being written in the beginning 😏

Hi res, big sensors and 10x zoom vs nice bigger screen.
There are people who dont care tho.
Also, exclusivity means a little, if you can order with free shipping on top. Repair may be costly but not impossible.
Another problem may be a security, but it's more about who will spy on you...

Foldables are a cool concept for now, but there's too many compromises at the moment. Battery life, durability, camera, software support/compatibility, etc. And, of course, price.
I'll live with a single, smaller screen if it means all of the above are far better.

REAL TALK: As if we could afford it and even if we could, should anyone buy an expensive form factor that is still too fragile when compared to a normal brick smartphone? I think foldables right now are made for tech reviewers and enthusiasts to test - and of course to get a profit. But then reality kicks in that majority of people are fine with their current devices. Tech reviewers and enthusiasts should know that the world doesn't revolve around them, just because this tech is the future and the best doesn't equally mean that the rest of the consumers are following.

Not interested in foldables at all.
Even if they were the same price as regular flagships, and had the same specs, especially camera, and even if they were as robust as regular phones...no thanks. I'd rather have a proper phone and tablet, rather than something that's kinda both but not really any of the two.

Having said the above, I agree with the general sentiment above. Xiaomi is being left behind. There is another company (honor) that has built an even slimmer foldable with more pen support than this one.

Bigmeme, 20 Aug 2023Okay then throw away 80% of the stuff in your home 🤣No need to. Most of my stuff is made in the EU. Only a few things were made in China (and they are mostly very close to the end of their lifetime).

I know people, envy who bought the xiaomi 11 ultra because of its superior photography at the time. If anything most of them didn't want to be seen with a basic iPhone in their hands. IPhone are increasingly associated with being basic in some parts of the world already.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2023Not getting a foldable ever, they are extremely impractical... moreNever getting a smartphone ever , they lack tactile keyboards (nobody is going to use software keyboards, lol), I hate bigger screens (small screens are the future), their battery barely lasts a day (my blackberry lasts several days before charging).
In short. Blackberry >>> touch based smartphones (lol, I love your regressives. Always picking the wrong fight and being such hilarious holdouts).
