Android-Never-Again, 24 Aug 2023rofl no effing way it's anywhere near as secureIf you didn't know, Apple can read your iMessages through copies of the end-to-end encryption keys stored in your iCloud backup. Also the Pegasus exploit was making rounds in 2021 (search it up if you want to know what it is).
If you thought that iMessage was some sort of safe walled-off garden for messaging, it clearly isn't.

RCS is already quite old and likely to die of neglect. I guess Apple will never come down from their high horse because they have plenty of suckers willing to pay $1000 for a phone worth half as much. So you are correct, every country has their own favourite and Google is wasting everyone's time with another half-baked product. They even bloated Gmail with video group chat that no one understands or uses. Check out Jitsi Meet if you want to see something good.

RCS is a US problem only. Everybody else in the world don’t use SMS anymore other than for spam and OTPs. RCS is already outdated when there are already existing cross-platform alternatives like WhatsApp, WeChat, Line, Telegram, etc. Nobody cares about RCS other than Google. That’s why they’re the only one trying to make noise about it. Nobody, not even the carriers, care.
