A huge improvement in the GPU department also awaits.

Their new chipset is slightly "underclocked" compared to the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 being the main core at 3.1Ghz but overall could definitely and sufficiently power up S24 lineups and could be cheap(?) in other selected countries.

I can't help but still doubt because Exynos are lousy, underperforming and heat-enducing in the past. So until then, let's wait for reviews and get more opinions once Samsung release them to public next year.

Better fab it on 3nm then it might have some chances to compete with SD SoCs as Qualcomm will use 4nm fab. So, 3nm or garbage once again.

Oh sure, they are reducing the cost for themselves, to make more profit, but not to make their phones cheaper. Their phones were, are and will be among the most expensive, if not the most expensive ones even with Exynos chipsets.

I'm sure Samsung could make a chip better than Qualcomm, but they won't because that's not their intention. Their intention is: PROFIT!

Just like with Exynos 2200, as long as they can make it "good enough" and save money, that's all they care about. They have separate divisions for cameras, screens and chips. They make the best screens but sell them to Apple (2000 nits, no PWM), while they charge more for their top flagship even though they opt for a worse screen (1700 nits, PWM). Just recently they've admitted that the 1 inch cameras they themselves make are too expensive for their flagships. No doubt, they'll go to Apple or some other company.

In the end, as long as they can sell us subpar stuff for an exorbitant amount of money, based only on brand recognition, they will.

Qualcomm Snapdragon are inordinant exorbitantly expensive, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 costs MORE by an extreme margin than Apples Bionic Hexacore range

What you need to know or possibly do based on question is before Xmas 2023 ( previously known as Twitter mas) is we will have real phones using Bionic 17 (Geekbench bias) Mediatek Dimensity 9300 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

                            https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/qualcomm-snapdragon-8-gen-2-vs-mediatek-dimensity-9200-plus

Samsung use of Exynos in part to reduce cost AND keep Qualcomm from exerting monopoly pricing policy if all sourced from Qualcomm.

What the next few months needs is for Mediatek to either to produce figures better than Qualcomm or so close that there is no benefit continuing with Qualcomm.

In the Apple vineyard all they could shout about was the synthetic benchmarks and how much faster it was (also jealousy as we couldn't afford a iPhone)

The article first few words is ANOTHER TIPSTER or #45 Sharpie, weather report)

Exynos 2200 and earlier did not match the flagship peers
and despite this the "hate" continues.

Did you know I regularly defeated Usain Bolt ?

Samsung has said that it will may, could, possibly, probably use EXYNOS 2400.

No Sharpie but IF Exynos 2400 produced figures better than both Snapdragon & Dimensity do the nay sayers want to stick with Qualcomm?

Prediction 2 Samsung S24 will NOT be using Exynos 2200 (but despite this the comments section will be filled)

You can see how close Mediatek figure are to Qualcomm
                            on the latest chips

I don't know what the future holds but we have Option 1 already stated in article

Option 2 Dimensity USA Exynos ROW.
Option 4 Snapdragon USA Exynos ROW ( Mediatek close this would be a significant price cut by Qualcomm)

I am sure Samsung will provide justification and not look at the negatives (hate) posts in this forum.

Samsung will use the chip beneficial to all which will be flagship worthy

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will undoubtedly produce better figures than 8 Gen 2, however 10 Cores may vape them all

I do harp on but benchmarks alone do not a phone make.

Although not scientific some of the side by side YouTube test Ive seen result are marginal and don't reflect benchmark and just seconds.

The S23 range uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
(If Exynos is the true king then expect the A range to have top tier Snapdragons
