Samsung's Exynos 2400 specs surface, to feature a 10-core CPU

A huge improvement in the GPU department also awaits.

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2023Look at this ignorant, where did he get 6 or 10 core i3 fro... morei3 1220p has 10 cores and its going to increase move forward, we have cheap cpu like alderlake N with 8 cores like N300 and N305, i wont be suprised Alderlake N successor to have 16 or 32cores.

You said yourself 6 cores not 4 cores, Apple small cores are as powerfull as android middle cores, so A16 having 6 cores is equivalent of this E2400 (6 mid+permofance cores) minus 4 low perfomance cores.

While charging devices, maybe companies don't think about voltage difference and chargers aren't optimized neither. What is not good for phone batteries since they are non-removable. This can cause performance issue too. The main difference is that the voltage in the USA is 120 volts and in Europe it is 220-240 volts. This means that some electrical devices may not work or may be damaged if plugged into a different outlet without an adapter or a transformer. You can check the list of plugs, voltages and frequencies by country here.

A smartphone with x86 platform would have abysmal battery life.

        It does lack graphical power.
Using Exynos in some places and Snapdragon in other places was always criticized, here in Brazil Samsung will not sell Exynos anymore, huge backlash for doing it, we don't like that cr*p.

          Anonymous, 22 Aug 2023Man here its Exynos 2000 series, its not low end. I really... moreexynos 850 ( a04s ) is low end , 1330 ( a14 ) also low end

It's not true Exynos always lacked in graphics power. It lacked in optimization. If you look at game screenshot from competing Exynos and SD from the same year, many effects look much better on Exynos. Snapdragon lowers unimportant effects quality dramatically so it performs better = optimization. Exynos didn't do that so the temperature was higher and thus performance was lower in the long term. But that certainly doesn't mean Exynos wasn't capable. And do you remember the Note8 fiasco? Snapdragon version had a 20% worse both battery and processing power. For some reason people only made it a "scandal" with the S20/Note20. I'm still on the Exynos Note20 Ultra right now and it performs perfectly well btw.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2023this is a 8 gen 3 competitorJust wanted to get this out of the way generally
              Title see above.

'AnTuTu's Chinese website is the latest to predict Samsung is going to once again use an Exynos chipset for some of its Galaxy S24 units next year.'

That was the vert first line judging by the comments it's like this the a new law of physics has been written o.k. chatter.

I posted once already on this all people see are synthetic benchmarks, they must be the best better than everyone.
In years to come Snapdragon 8 gen 2 phones are well good not 6G ( yeah 6G is coming) but good enough today.
              Today August 2023 flagship

Exynos 2400 will be the 4th major event after Apple Qualcomm Mediatek
I going off script making comments not directly about the article but first to repeat Samsung will use (?) SoC

The decision will be based on the performance of the above.

Apple (I am in the vineyard again) iPhone 15 Pro will A17 Bionic Hexacore already announced 2 x 3.7 GHz cortex (unknown weather related Monika) up from 3.46 (Everest)

Apple has used 4x 2.02 GHz cortex (Sawtooth) for the last 2 years. Stick or change.

It could upgrade & use FOUR of the "old" main cortices

              4 x 2.34 GHz (Hurricane from A10) or
              4 x 2.39 GHz (Monsoon from A11) or
              4 x 2.49 GHz (Vortex from A 12)

I missed the meeting where this was presented so the three examples above are just wild guesses

The 10 core architecture in Exynos 2400 naturally has to compete with Apple Bionic also Snapdragon 8 gen 3 and Mediatek Dimensity 9300.

              (Source See Me)

I don't know despite research how much Mediatek charges, I do know that Snapdragons flagship cost more than Apples Bionic ( Google it)

Previously RELEASED Exynos not mentioned here or anywhere in the article, performances left a lot to be desired and not flagship performance worthy.

Mediateks 9200 was literally neck and neck with 8 Gen 2.
This year we will have real world figures for ALL three.

Despite those spitting drivel and the many comments based on events 2 years let's look forward to unknown certainties.

How can anyone ask that Samsung released Snapdragons 24 when it may not even be the flagship?

What if Exynos 2400 is first? or second behind Mediatek
What if all three benchmark are inseparable?

Apple has done well on Hexacore architecture
Snapdragon has done well on Octocore
Mediatek has done well on Octocore, it maybe that Mediatek architecture is the next logical approach in Octocore.

The 10 core solution is the untried new kid on the block

So upto and until Samsung produces those figure and subsequently explains them I will wait, who is this tipster anyway?

It may seem I am authoritarian, I am not I just wish that those who do not have an idea or opinion related to the topic send an SMS instead.

Almost nobody would buy the Exynos version and they know that, that way it would be a huge money loss, whereas if they only offer the Exynos version the profits are gonna be insane.
