Well my phone has a curved display with a silicone screen protector on it, that sticks on the edges too and has lasted me 2 months so far, still without issues. I do understand the concern tho.

I had a curved screen before.it fells nice to use swipe back gestures with a curved edge when it is unprotected! but, it is just getting worse with a protective film.no protector stick well around the edges. they lift in a few weeks, they collect dust and the swipe gesture no longer feels smooth like a naked screen because of those lifted edges.
if you look for a protective glass,there are little choices that cover the edges and stick well. most get loose around the edges in a few weeks and excess air under the protective glass decrease touch sensitivity around the curved edges. most of these glasses block in-screeen fingerprint reader,too.
in summary,curved screens are very hard to use with protection.

They should rather change other things about the design and keep the screen curved.
S24 Ultra shouldn't still look like a Note20 Ultra

Flat edges would increase the width of ultra which is already a wiiiidddee phone to use.

Thanks goodness, say goodbye to curved screens already. They are and always have been a marketing gimmick and a waste of time and screen real estate. When content rolls into the curve it's time to put your brain to work and go back to flat Samsung!

Oh pls no. I switched from samsung curvy screen to an iPhone and I can’t really stand this thing. It’s a nice touch😮💨. I guess I’ll grab a S23 Ultra on discount

Flat screen is not the deal-breaker after all. It is good (if not the best) indeed. For me, it is a deal breaker if there is no official IP rating and no microSD (oh no we are talking about the flagship ones, arent we?) LOL

I didnt bought any s products since they remove the sd card,im using a 150usd mobile now a days,if they will not return it back ,then i will not buy any of them,i am maybe only one customer,but i bought all s series starting from s4 till s20 series. If they dont care about me,i sont care about them also. Now i am using 140$ xiaomi device as my main driver.

Samsung.. you have to bend to Apple's will. Flat screen rules.
Same as your watches.. STOP with the circular watches.. ITs useless!. Make square ones like Apple.. then the sales will pick up.

Great. Makes good sense, using the s pen on the edges is not easy. Flat doesn't distort the image too, and better fall protection. Good move, at last

Finally samsung. Go back to the boxy flat design and all work well. Don't need to have a curve on the edges or any part. Just make it boxy rectangular and it will be fine. More written space and better screen protection. The curve just make putting a screen protector troublesome and also casing problem.
