In this just one measurement which could be explained by e.g 24 Ultra could just being wider (also taller ?)
Indeed already stated there are phones with larger curved screens.
Assuming he is saying curve screen measures 79mm flat
78.1mm width distance between sides
This is 0.9 mm difference.
Now imagine you're pressing down on the screen mid point (don't do this at home!)
It extends 0.45mm both to left and to and to the right adding 0.9mm total (yeah I know it is curved!).
0.45mm is the height, the width was 78.1mm divided by 2
0.45 mm Height 34.05 Width Pythagoras (albeit curved it's micrometres difference)
Too little information to even suggest flat
At the end of the day just another tweet to reverse it
Finally I read flat side on foldables is preferred to aid opening

Now, I know that it has big black bezels on both the top and the bottom, but considering the fact that I think 75-76mm is the best width for a phone, and that the Sony Xperia 1 V has a width of only 71mm, such a phone would have to be way too tall if I wanted a 75mm 21:9 phone. 21:9 is just too tall to be practical, unless I was willing to give up width, which I very much won't. Also, look how sacrificing that width turned out with Samsung's foldables. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 are about the same height as the 6.6" S23+, but they're a good deal less wide, and everyone says that both devices are just too tall to use. They're normal height, but because of their width, they're just too unwieldy to use.

6,5" 21:9 screen is shorter than those 6,7" 20:9 almost all phones use.
If xperia 1 had same design other use, phone would be 15,5cm.
6,5" 21:9 has same area of 6" 16:9. Nothhing small.

First patent was 2012 (Sony), then Meizu and Samsung filled patents too (2017).
Zte has used for at least 4 years, still quality is VGA.
Guess why xiaomi gave up on it and bbk stopped experimenting.
Will never be on pair with regular camera.

Flat screen is far better in comparison to curve.
I have --
iphone 14 pro
Samsung Galaxy s8 plus
Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra
..... I feel better in flat screen ( BTW s8 plus was too slim in comparison to s22 ultra )
** IN MY OPINION::-
Flat screen in S8 plus body will be the best mobile in this world.

If screen is flat, I hope it'll have rounded corners. Otherwise it'll be very inconvenient fat brick.
