Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to shatter brightness records and have huge bezels

23 August 2023
It's unclear what will sear your retinas the most: the sun-like brightness or the vintage bezels.

the race for “bezel less” is still overrated…
even a 5mm around the display is fine to me 😂
but, tbh, it has “visual appeal” like what zte nubia 50 ultra…
that is when you are not focusing on what is on display and just admiring the “thin” bezels…
if you are using it as a phone and not a fashion accessory it would be fine… and that bezel less would have no practical benefit…
most phones have negligible bezels, as manufacturers are talking millimeters here…
but, ok… maybe phones are more for flexing nowadays…

great, huge bezel isn't more special.

but tiny thin bezel is more special.

Why is bezel size that much of a big deal ? It can be 4mm all over instead of 3 and I still won't care

        "Is that Ice Universe?
Han Jong-hee here, I need you to get this out straight away 'Not 2200nit, the brightness is higher than this.'

You know the phone we're talking about

Ultra super serious, only you, have this information, not even my co VP.
This has to go out now
And while I am here great job on flat screen story

You are authorised to use X maximum dispersion."

If I passed a note like this during class would it matter?
And yet just because you have a X account it does.
No one else has this fairy tale as it's just made up

So the usual multi posters who can't click on source will personalise this nonsense.

I wish they'd offer a 10 bit panel with Dolby vision support, but even Samsung TVs don't do that so I don't have my hopes up. Brightness after 1500 nits is like whatever, it is bright, not too much use

Sammy the bezels are not huge enough🤏, make them huger 🤳 for the flat screen enthusiasts

Well that's your flat thick bezel design screen you have been crying for enjoy. I'll stick to my curved screen 🤣🤣🤣🚮

BrianCoriour, 24 Aug 2023The brighter, more power, more pixels, bigger screen and so... moreLG had that years ago with Smart Doctor (later called Smart cleaning) from the G6 days, before the Mobile Business Unit sadly went kaboom 💣

Worked brilliantly and still does on my LG G6+, G7 and G8.

OMG! Call the slim, sexy, colorful & stylish police! 3mm bezels! Oh No! Everyone run in terror into the streets!

Good grief! THREE millimeter bezels? Personally I like just a little bezel between the edge of the screen and the frame. Helps protect it a bit. Plus, if you have it all the way to the edge, you might touch the screen if you have it gripped in your hand.
Calm down people...it's not like it is a 22.54mm bezel!

Samsung has clearly lost the plot on everything related to design, pretty much since the S10 series and arguably since the S9 days. With the exception of the rather cute smallest baby S22.

What's next? Bezels on the S25 larger than Samsung TV?

Samsung is too confident and too comfortable.

What... is Samsung drunk or something? That must be a troll leak

samsung never trust their own oled screen even a flex one 🤣

                            *grabs popcorn

This is going to be good. Lol

At first glance I thought this was a satyre.

Honestly I'll rather have a curved screen with properly thin, high-end bezels, than this.

And they probably won't fit a notification LED, which could be the only way to accept this mess.

I don't think that's real!!! you can land a plane in those ugly bevels

Larger bezels mean a sturdier device and a stronger screen. To a point of corse. Not sure why people are so upset.

No bezels or/and 2.5 screen? Never ever drop it because barely any bumper can save it.

                                      Thicc bezels 😩
