Weekly poll: do you use a screen protector and a case?

Some people carry their phone with no extra protection, others feel safer with a protector. Some see cases as a style add-on, others as unnecessary bulk.

I never used screen protector because they always cracked and gorilla glass does its job anyway or so did I think. Then I saw a phone with gorilla glass 5 get all scratched like it's plastic. Either gorilla glass got way worse (I had a phone with 2nd generation gg and it was spotless for 5 years without any protectors) or these chinese brands are using some inferior gorilla glass. Since then I figured I'm better off buying 2$ protector glass even if I have to switch it every month then replacing my screen for 100+ dollars. Btw I'm still on my first 2$ protector for 4 months now so it's not even that fragile. I guess they improved in recent years.

    Just to set some things straight, as you know most phone are using gorilla glass etc and do you need screen guard it's literally depends on the person how well he can keep the screen scratch less. Just a reminder a sand can scratch glasses since it has mohs scale 7 and glass is 6, for me i use thin plastic screen guard, if it's scratched alot, then I'll replace it.

    As for screen guard, if it's too thick then it will cause some touch sensitive issue, so pick a reasonable thickness, you don't need a very thick screen guard.

    If the screen guard wore out or scratched alot, peeling etc just replace it please, i have seen someone using a cracked TG and didn't bother to replace it (it's not expensive anyway)

    As for phone case, it can protect you phone from unwanted dent or impact, it's depend on the person but accident can happen, for someone say phone case make it look ugly, that's on you having poor taste or choice of phone case.

      Maybe I'm mistaken and it's not the first time, but finally it's multiple questions in *one* survey. Seeing them separated with different number of participant was so disharmonic.

      As for the subject, I always use a medium-rugged silicone case on the phone, but never a screen protector. Mainly I use the case for the grip, as I'm very accurate and almost never have dropped a phone. I think using a phone without a case is totally pointless, and all those talks about "gReAt fEeLiNgS" of touching phone's materials are so moronic, they just reek of being brainwashed by marketing.

One day i dropped it by accident without screen protector and it was gone, the display literally died. Ever since i'm putting screen protectors first and a case and then turning on the phone.

                        I've used one on my phone, there is never an interruption that you literally mentioned. Screen sensitivity is perfectly fine, and so is the visibility and feeling of it.

                          I usually don't drop my phones so no case and no screen protector.

                            They don't call it leather, they call it eco/vegan/faux leather, all of those obviusly mean that it's not real leather, and no it doesn't get dirty, unless it's on a really cheap phone.

As for Infinix, well both my Note 30 Pro and Zero Ultra came with 1 pre-installed screen protector and 1 separate protector as well and these are both new phones.

                                      I use a case not for protection, but for extra grip. Phones these days are so slippery, smooth metal as frame, glass on the back, even the plastic ones use this glossy finish. Something good and grippy is so rare today it's easier to win on a lottery.

                                        Not fan of the screen protectors. But after paying 300£ to fix cracked lcd of my s22 ultta i decided to get one(little extra protector better than none). I got some kind of gel screen protector. Doesnt cover top to bottom fully, there is little gap that is exposed. And i got rugged case for it, because i am clumsy and drop the phone on a daily basis
