Profit is up 33% despite this fall in shipments and a fall in Revenue. This means their profit margin has increased which is good for their shareholders. Pretty good results in light of the falling sales

Wolfernine, 30 Aug 2023Xiaomi should and could lower the phone prices...they shoul... moreLowering price by 20% requires sales to increase more than 20% just to match previous revenue.
You think that xiaomi would sell 25-30 million phones more?
You have zero clue about business then.

well the whole market is slumping all android makers are falling, even apple isnt going up now so its not a brand specific problem, its just that phones are lasting longer+less money for people+less innovation and just refinements

Sanctions on Huawei ruined the phone market. No competition and therefore only overpriced and underwhelming products.

Maybe if they actually took their business seriously instead of releasing 50 “different” phones per year with poor software support they’d have more sales. Same with other companies, as this isn’t just a Xiaomi problem.
Sooner or later consumers notice when they’re being taken advantage of.

POCO has done most damage. Also their nonsense rebranding things.
MIUI is still buggy and lags here and there, Mismanagement and how there are so many regions in MIUI firmware. MIUI CN mostly best will all the features and perk and all the other global roms left with simple stuff and no optimizations.
