I will be honest. The only people who repeatedly said they never use screen protector or case are tech youtubers. Normal folks ain't like that.

you have to suffer, 03 Sep 2023most people have them. but not on flagship users where they... moreOnly cavier users should not use a phone with a case. Rest of the people should definitely use a case, because if someone wants expensive look then stock phones are just a mass produced phone for mass market and the buyer should not think they are having an expensive gadget, whereas caviar is the true custom phone which only the true rich people can afford.

Every phone user should have 3 cases at least. But for screen protector you can keep the first one for longer if you don't scratch it too much.

Having a glass screen protector and a case on your phone is just mandatory for me. Even if the screen protector doesn't break, it will fill with scratches. The case will eventually wear out after a few years. You get a new screen protector and a new case and it kind of refreshes the device. Plus, phones cost so much these days and have a longer lifecycle. It just makes sense to protect your stuff as best you can. Even if you won't keep your device for too long, having it in the best condition you can, will preserve its resell value.

Well it has two advantage, you need not think whether spend 30x on screen replacement or buy a new phone and it keeps the phones value while trade in.

you have to suffer, 03 Sep 2023i wonder what are their thoughts on using a case on an expe... moreAs far as I know most of them don't really want to show off. Most of them don't really care about the design anyways. They usually just looking at phone with best camera possible, highest storage possible on market (512GB on midrangers market is still rare anyways), a good phone for heavy uses and that's it.
And that one friend who owns 12 PM said she doesn't even a more "luxury" color. She actually prefers a more "fancy and fun" color on base iPhone model, but she still wants the Pro Max's camera, that's why she bought some case with "fancy and fun" color.
While that one friend who owns S22 just don't care about the design at all and just put that one Spigen cases on it because he usually just do gaming and don't take pic much.
That's just some of my closest-friend that I usually talk though. Won't really make it long bcuz I know no one likes to read a long comment.

you have to suffer, 03 Sep 2023most people have them. but not on flagship users where they... moreMost of my rich friends here that usually uses some S-series or iPhone 12 PM or something newer always use cases no matter what, even though I know some of them is pay for Samsung or Apple Care+. I don't know what some people think but a REAL rich people (the one that got their own big money from their hard work and not someone who asked their father to buy 'em the new iPhone every year) would keep their things safe.

Some may say they use a case/screen protector to protect the phone, but then i see them around with cracked/damaged screens. And don't let me start with the back glass.

Heck i just dropped my iPhone 11 Pro twice on a woody floor (By accident obviously) from a short distance and nothing happened to it. I guess is just a luck thing.
But then i remember dropping a Note 9 i had years ago on a tile floor from a loonger distance (Im tall) with only a case face down, only the thin case took the damage.

justasmile, 03 Sep 2023So someone with 1 million dollars can just treat it as infi... moreHe/She/It is just a spoiled one. I have excess money but I don't just use my phones unprotected. I want my things to last as long as they can for my hard-earned cash, not because I cannot afford another but because I don't want to waste it. Even reputable smartphone reviewers use cases. His/Her/Its logic is the same as getting a new car and just bumping and crashing it anywhere anytime he/she/it likes as he/she/it can buy another. What an utterly fantastic, marvelous person.

I use the Samsung silicone cover + screen protector for my S23 and yes it does cover the design but i would rather be careful than breaking it and then having to fix it and spend additional cash for no reason when i could've been careful right on time. Using a case or screen protector does not make you ,,poor" or weird, some people (trolls) should stop using the internet.

skoda9635, 03 Sep 2023Real men have CAT phones. Those DON'T NEED a protectio... morethey are a protection, to use them as a security camera or maybe a door stopper😂😂

most people have them. but not on flagship users where they kept it caseless but with screen protectors. using case on an expensive phone can feel like a $100 phone. midrange phones could be fine, only if it has leather back, you should avoid using them. you wont feel the leather anymore.

[deleted post]So someone with 1 million dollars can just treat it as infinite money and keep spending? And everytime when they spoil their $1300 phone, they think "Don't worry, just buy a new one" until they go broke?

C'mon, every dollar matters, one or two.

[deleted post]I already did it and i bought a new one

                                    In the meantime my thoughts
Phones are glass metal, they feel PREMIUM, case not

When you see a phone launch the phone being introduced has literally come out of the box.

On TV or Cinema just the bare naked phone nothing else
That only works for short period which is a "take"

I have used most types of phone case but this is my latest
(The case only not the tempered glass!)
                                    https://www.amazon.co.uk/LeYi-Protector-Protective-Shockproof-Protection/dp/B0BMQ5CGML/?_encoding=UTF8&pf_rd_p=3943c534-0569-4414-aded-77d93c93dbe9&pd_rd_wg=fm9Wy&pf_rd_r=K0KQW89QF63FV3DNVW65&content-id=amzn1.sym.3943c534-0569-4414-aded-77d93c93dbe9%3Aamzn1.symc.a20a4e83-4377-43cd-a812-0e36e284c0f7&pd_rd_w=eOG3v&painterId=gwm-asin-tile&pd_rd_r=132ff947-5b3b-43e0-af64-8700dd91cbfe&ref_=pd_gwm_ci_mcx_mr_hp_atf_m#immersive-view_1693738951908

Needed a new phone, and this case caught my eye, wearing a patch now as this case is tough! The four corners are strengthed by more metal than runs along each side I have two cases in red without camera slide.
                                    Camera lens slide yeah.
The second in red no camera slide has RAISED lip to protect camera island

I have never been a fan of tempered glass so always used fllm

I also found that in addition to screen protector you could buy a set that includes camera lens protection, 3 circular film

On older phone when I changed the protector I was shocked at how scuffed and marked it was, the screen was pristine, but the protector was a mess, trust me I am Ultra careful with phones.

When the phone is in the media spotlight, TV film Cinema launches just the phone.

In my house you will not leave this house naked, nude
is what I would say to my phone ...so lonely here.

I personally wouldn't buy a used phone, as I want a new phone to look new, and new equals Warranty

You do see flagship phones sold £100+ off what BNIB sealed are being sold for.
It has this a £100 mark damage off remember that is on the outside

Protection adds so little to the phone cost.

I would not want to be calling it cheap or miserly, but it is..
                                    (To continue)
but it is a certainty that what appears pristine from a distance is not, the longer, the more damaged it is.

Who hasn't had a phone slip from their hands?
That essentially is why these products are sold

Of course everyone has a case on anyways, ugly or cool. This is why Sansung decided to keep design simple with the A52. Flashy back designs are gimmicks.
