Waiting to see if Google's Pixel 8 series hardware will match that of BBK flagships to switch but already disappointed with pixel 27W charging solution & the luck of curved screen. Let's see what Pixel 9 series or 10 series brings if faster charging will be there waiting for 2 hours for a phone to charge in the pixels right now is a big NO NO for me
How I wish I can swap the hardware of BBK & install Google's Pixel stock Android. That used to be possible when OnePlus didn't lock their bootloader you just install a custom ROM Pixel Experience or Evolution X in OnePlus 11 or coming 12 now not possible anymore. That would be my ideal smartphone. Google's hardware don't cut it for me right now despite their good software that Tensor damn

Paying €75 for an extra 128GB.
That's why we need sd cards. And also why companies stopped putting them in.
I was actually considering the Pixel 8 256gb vs the Xperia 5V. A top tier main camera is my main requirement. I need at least 256GB. I thought the Pixel would be the budget option, but if they're nearly the same price I'm getting the Xperia - better chipset and battery life.
Hope this rumor is waaay off. I expected maybe a 10% price bump, not 40%.

S23 ultra is below €1000 now, much better deal than these overpriced Pixel 8's. And if you really want a Pixel, go for the Pixel 7, below €500 right now...

Ironic how the company that made Android sells absurdly priced "pure-Android" phones without microSD or the headphone jack (both staples of Android) while Sony can cram that in an even smaller phone with 5000 mAh battery 🤦 going backwards as always

I love Pixels and was looking forward to this phone, but €874 is DOA. If the Pixel 8a is canceled then my phone purchasing habits may change significantly.
