07 September 2023
The ban also likely extends to other devices from foreign brands.

Honk, 07 Sep 2023If they start using Huawei phones wouldn't it just be ... moreNo because huawei werent spying nor any actual evidence of them doing it but thanks for that awfully unfunny comment 👍.

Iphones have been actually known to have leaked data from millions of its users though on multiple occasions including samsung doing it too so good try.

Notafanboy-Fanboy, 07 Sep 2023Joke of the year 🤣 🤣I am sorry. My last reply was meant to person You replied to.

Lmao everyone knows people never bought iphones for objective reasons.

We really need other operating systems besides iOS and Android.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2023So they will rely on Android for security? Android??Thanks to android being open source, people can create custom ROM.
Therefore, Custom ROM can be focused on security and privacy, like the hardened ROM GrapheneOs.

If they start using Huawei phones wouldn't it just be officials spying on themselves or something?

Notafanboy-Fanboy, 07 Sep 2023Joke of the year 🤣 🤣How comes? Huawei has/had two best things. Camera and Kirin. Even old midrange from Huawei (like Nova 5T) snaps better photos than most of nowadays wannabe flagships.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2023So they will rely on Android for security? Android??In China, it's mostly AOSP and Harmony. Both are Spygle free.

Try Google the things you don't know... Btw I'm a Samsung S22 Ultra user, so I can spare you for some silly comments.

THIS after Russia banned iPhone and iPad from government's activities.

but is this China and Russia's diplomatic relationship has ready to kick USA's technologies out?!

                      Oh no!

                      Anyway...

Obviously it's a response, since just stopping data and servers from leaving the country would be enough otherwise.
Interesting would be tho, to see EU to ban a non-EU phones, maybe some new brands would pop out then. Now having samsung and apple in premium field, not m7ch of competition even considering its non eu brands.

Wow, that's be a dramatic turn of events.

I'm not still quite sure, if the consequences of these measures are to be any sensitive: the limitation is only about work, but people still can enjoy apple iphones all the way in their private life.

And China is somehow still vulnarable to such measures itself: all the iphones are product of china nowdays, they'll lose factory orders, if the restrictions are somehow to turn effective.

My only wish as a customer (lol, sorry) is that chinese upper midrangers are about to become cheaper in price. I'm somehow not much of u.s. pricier technologies fanboy. Would just want top Dimensity 8200/9200 phones become cheaper, sorry ;)

Peculiar that they are not banning Google-connected Android phones as well.

As long as the device, be it a phone, computer, tablet, connects to US-based services for updates, then it is vulnerable to espionage and sabotage by US intelligence agencies.
