10 September 2023
The phone will get software support for at least that long, possibly up to 10 years. And it comes with 5 years warranty and the best repairability of any current phone.

If they really want to make the phone *actually* usable for the next 8 to 10 years, they should make a 5 Pro with at least 8 gen 1 equivalent. Cameras are good enough. And they made a good point by increasing ram and storage to 8/256 as it will last more.

$999 price could justify a 120Hz LTPO and Flagship SoC (at least a year old soc).

People with a sustainability in mind will no care for glass and titanium. Plastic is fine. But the hardware should be top notch so it can run in a long time.

And, they should cover 1 time screen replacement as OLED may be burnt in a few years.

price already high, 700 euro, why not just another 100 euro, and put get 8 gen 2 , or at least 8+gen1 in that phone

          Outsold Apple *.*

Specs aren't good enough, but the cameras are interesting if slightly smaller than the competition for certain sensors. There should be a 1440p 120Hz LTPO display, but then again, for the price bracket, it could stay at its current resolution too. *I* notice the difference between the two resolutions, but quite some consumers probably don't.
