Frank, 12 Sep 2023Except DOA is spot-on. It's already been revealed that... more"My Pixel 7a and its G2 die after 2 hrs of screen time." LOL such a boldface lie. oooh you're "leaving them for apple". ok and? nobody cares what an apple fanboi making up anti-tensor, anti-google stories does. don't let the door hit you on the way out and enjoy that boring, feature-less walled garden where you are forced into all the ecosystem services to have a decent experience.

Faceman, 14 Sep 2023I have had some google phones in the past and I share my ex... moreI have faith in Google's software and camera capabilities, which is why I'm opting for a budget-friendly Pixel 5 as a replacement device. However, it's clear that Google has made poor choices in the build quality of their devices, as you also acknowledged and this is an area where they could improve, in my opinion. Although I haven't used an Apple device in over a decade, I'm contemplating giving the iPhone 15 Pro a try, while also keeping an eye on the upcoming Pixel 8 series.

Fly Sheikh, 13 Sep 2023Following my Pixel's demise at the 18-month mark, I... moreI have had some google phones in the past and I share my experience with you. I think the Pixel phones are outstanding devices, but the hardware built by google is garbage.
The phones loose their value in an instant and they are not built to last, I had 3 Pixel devices and each device showed some dumb cheap hardware issues in the first couple of months.
I changed to the dark side after loosing my Pixel 7 Pro, if I could give you any advice: Wait up for the Google Pixel 8 it might be a killer phone if they fix the issues with battery consumption in the Tensor chip.
If you cant wait and want to try the dark side: You will hate it, the iPhone is dumb as f*ck and it is not worth the money. After the first 3 days I gave up on customizing the phone because it is so silly I cant put it into words.
The keyboard is such a sh*t in general that I just open my notebook to send messages on Whatsapp :D
Consider twice buying an iPhone, I always wanted to try it, but I might buy a Pixel 8 after release, because I cant be productive on an iPhone... BUT it works, the 14 Pro has twice the battery life than my Pixel 7 Pro and the phone is always fluid and the apps are a bit better. Thats it.

Following my Pixel's demise at the 18-month mark, I've decided to steer clear of Google's hardware until they make significant improvements. As a result, I'm making the switch to iOS, venturing into the dark side.

Dude, samsung showed us again and again that they couldn't make good flagship exynos chips, except for the ones used in S6 and S7, then they couldn't make a good one after that.

kevinmcmurtrie, 12 Sep 2023Google could try spying less too. Maybe even reject Play S... moreIf you tried modding in the past, you would've noticed how a phone without GMS as well as the maker's bloat (Samsung ONE UI counts lmao) performs way better and lasts longer.

Glad777, 13 Sep 2023Death Stranding will be released on iPhone 15 Pro I wonder ... moreApple prolly had the moolah to invite those devs in, much like how they paid Mihoyo/Hoyoverse "native controller support" for Genshin Impact.
Meanwhile, Android gamers still haven't noticed that and still have to put up with third party options that may incur a ban lmao.

Death Stranding will be released on iPhone 15 Pro I wonder what will come out of Google Pixel) lol if the processor is not dragon level gen 2
and for a minute it’s 55 fps in Genshin Impact, which is weak for a 120 Hz screen, it seems the iPhone will again push everyone’s performance

anon, 12 Sep 2023We don't actually have any clue if it's based on ... moreWe actually do know as the references are visible in the source code. The Tensor processors are based on the ancient Exynos 2100, internally known as Exynos 9840. The Tensor 2 is called Exynos 9845 in the kernel code: https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/google-modules/display/+/661047c0c1c4939aa81fcc822bb21dc5a484f913
