1) The A chips have weaker ISP compared to Spectra.
2) Brands cannot use HDR with full res. I have shown you samples that prove. Also reviews here show exposure is not same compared to 12/12.5MP mode. Another evidence.
3) again At higher res, readout modes are weaker. Phones can do 12MP 12bit, but not even 10bit at full res. And no, the fake 16bit from samsung does not count, it is same smoothening done for screens (no oled from samsung display is true 10bit, all are 8+2, that applies to oppo, oneplus, sony, vivo, asus etc)

Please, stop insisting QB is on pair with Bayer. Only you on Earth thinks so. Not even people at Sony Semicon believes this. The same people that created this tech.
You only say this because huawei was first interested in this tech. If it was LG, Htc, Sony or Motorola you would say it is crap, what it is in fact.

No OEM would choose it over bayer sensor if both were same price. Samples of S20 64MP were better than 108MP from Ultra, because of CFA.

    Wait what?! They only really tangible changes the type c port and the new Action button?? Geez apple really taking the p*ss... pretty disappointed really as I would have loved to grabbed the vanilla 15 had they at least bumped the charging or refresh rate but shoulda known better.
    Apple is dead to me,once again lol

      Although the all cam may not the best, I love that iPhone15 has completely new cam (hopefully it is).

        ProRes Log capture is something I thought would be nice to see on the new iPhone and I can't believe Apple actually delivered it - This means that content creators can apply their own colour grading without worrying about Apple's crappy tonemapping interfering with it.

        Defaulting the photo resolution to 24MP is a very nice move for anyone who wants more than 12MP and/or needs to crop in after the photo was taken, I guess the new SoC allows the full-resolution 48MP images to be stacked and post-processed in real-time, whereas the higher resolution mode used to be only available in ProRAW format and it took a few seconds for the photos to be saved. I hope this will push Android manufacturers to do the same, or to use higher-than-50MP sensors in their future products.

        Nice to see A17 finally gaining hardware-level ray tracing support - the lack of which was one of the main reasons why M-series SoC fell far behind NVIDIA's GPU in any tasks where ray tracing is involved - and the new Neural Engine with double the performance over the predecessor is intriguing to me as it will be used on the M3 series and there are several photographic applications that fully utilise it (e.g. DxO Photolab for DeepPRIME noise reduction).

        Overall it seems like a decent upgrade from iPhone 14 Pro, now I'm looking forward to reading reviews.

Nothing new, lots of marketing, less reliability and repairability, more and more expensive. If something is working, you just buy a new one, and if something is broken, well you just buy a new one.

            I'm surprised that they started the pro max at 256GB at $1199. I would've thought they would include a 128GB model to advertise that it's still $1099 while including the 2000% storage markup to reach 256GB like the other models.

            I think they're doing this so that next year both pros will start at 256GB but remain a $200 price gap.

              its not a periscope lens, its a tetraprism, periscope lenses will bend the light 90 degrees to achieve focal length otherwise unachievable by traditional smartphone lenses, tetraprism is multi level bending of light to achieve the same goal. same same but different springs to mind

                                    What should have been done:

                                    1) 8g2 instead of A17. Apple chips only win at benchmarks, no advantage in real use. They always have weaker ISP compared to top Snapdragon.
                                    2) Victus 2 instead of Ceramic Shield. I bet it is still based on Gorilla 6 like previous.
                                    3) 3.3-6x zoom lens, instead of fixed.
                                    4) ufs 4.0 (iphone storage is as fast as ufs2.2)
                                    5) frame 100% titanium, instead of mixing with alluminum
                                    6) small bezel like Meizu 16s Pro, instead of hole and tylenol.
                                    7) full manual mode (video/photos) , DNG with zero processing

                                    Let's hope the power cables are not as fragile as previous cables that are weaker than paper sheet.
