Significant % of Sharp belongs to Foxconn. I dont think their stuff is made in Japan.
Few years ago, Tim Cook said iphone assembled in USA would be $100 more compared to cost to make in China.

Zero, 13 Sep 2023Now I want to see a 100% USA made iPhones as supposed to be.I would also like to see that, but I am afraid a fully USA made phone would cost more than 2000 Dollars. Just see Purism, the only USA made phone how much it costs, and you will be shocked! And those phones are not even flagship phones.

I read somewhere that India will be the first to get iPhone made in India and not the rest of the Asia Countries. This kind of weird 😳🤔
Made in China or India, I don't care. As long as the quality control is on par and meet the standard of Apple guideline. Even made in Africa or South Pole is good if the standard is maintenance.
