100% agreed! But the scenario completely changes in India where the pricing for Pro models is just absurd

Too bad I read your article too late! I have already pre-ordered 5 devices and paid a deposit of over 500 euros.
1 iPhone 15 Pro for my wife, 1 iPhone Pro Max for me and 1 iPhone 15 Plus for each of my 3 children

What an inconsiderate, biased article. I'm sure that, like me, there will be lots of people (1) upgrading from 3/4/5-year-old phones (2) cannot justify spending an additional 200+ USD (3) USB-C FTW

GSM Arena, you guys rock!
This is the only tech site I've seen that is honest and tells the truth. All the others can't sing Apples praises loud enough because they all got an invite so now they may not criticise Apple.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2023Yep but apple can get away with it, they have what no other... moreThis is sad, and even sadder it is a fact. The only company whose greed has no impact on them.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2023better screen and faster than any flagship Android phone, a... moreWorse screen, barely faster for CPU, much slower for GPU, and the 2000 nits are just as unusable as the max brightness on the last iPhone as it barely lasts half a minute just to then dim to a brightness level completely unusable outside. Do Android screens get as bright? No. But they can KEEP that brightness level for much longer.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2023Hahahaha. This is what exact apple wants you to think and f... moreYes, of course, they want you to buy the higher-end model, but you don't need a new phone every year. Spending $200 more to get vast improvements is worth it as you can keep it for several years if trying to budget.

For people who own a 14 series Iphone it wouldn't make sense to buy the base 15, but for people who haven't owned an Iphone ever and want to buy a model from that brand, it does make sense to get the 15 for cheaper than the 14 pro Max and with similar or better performance say, for playing mobile games.

And then comes Indian pricing. Here we got price gap of around 700 USD between 15 and 15 pro. You could buy a whole 13 with that much money. Prices in India are just ridiculous.

Not worth changing any phone now-days on a regular basis, from Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Honor, Huawei Apple etc.. All very similar on a year to year basis In the case of Samsung I can't see the S24 not the next gen A series being that much different next year from the current models, apart from it being faster (at a cost). Evolutionary but not revolutionary changes it seems but at a much higher cost

Dave, 13 Sep 2023The reality is another IOS is a safe and almost perfect sys... moreMy S10 and the Samsung after sales services say otherwise. It’s still running as good as it was when I got it. I’d dare to say it’s even better now.
As a matter os fact I’m really tempted to give my iPhone to my brother and get the samsung back as an exchange with him. I made the switch to apple at the beginning of the year and I couldn’t regret it more. That so called simplicity is BS. There are so many things that I could do on android in one click, but in iOS you’re forced to do it the way apple wants it. Bro this s#!t doesn’t even properly organize the list of contacts. Not to say that it doesn’t naturally reproduce midi files, the audio codecs for hi res music are non existent, the camera with the over processed and over sharpened pics are a nightmare duh… and I could go on and on.
