Hahahaha. This is what exact apple wants you to think and from the article you have published, it is evident that the strategy is working. “Spend a little more and get better and then every year come back and spend a little more to keep getting that better” strategy is definitely working.

So either like it or lump it I guess, yes living outside the us suck as we get another price hike on top of taxes..again 3 pixel 7 's.. but it's apple and like it or not their products are a status symbol and have a cool factor where they can pretty much do as they wish, sales guaranteed.

It simply isn't worth that cost. Apple keep releasing awful base models, knowing that anybody caring about getting a phone with modern specs will get the more expensive Pro. It's scummy and in a way, malicious too.

I have owned several iPhones in the past and besides the quality of the assembly it was always a disappointment when it comes to features and novelties. From day one I was disgusted by the following things:
- non expandable memory and ridiculously expensive price increase for higher memory capacities (and no Apple, your overpriced iCloud doesn't solve that).
- unable to share personal content over Bluetooth cross platform (an no Apple, not everyone has a fucking iPhone). Same goes for all media purchased over iTunes by the way (in my mind when I buy something it's mine and should be able to share it with whomever I want and regardless of what OS they use).
- pissed poor battery quality (sure Apple, your laughable small batteries will hold a full day (maybe) for the first few months until it starts to degrade rapidly even when taking all possible measures to avoid that and when you have a small battery you will instantly be facing ridiculous short usage time. No Apple, not everyone wants to carry a power-bank just to get through the day.)
Sadly enough these 3 major issues I have, with that brand besides the ridiculous money they ask for this shit, has never improved. On the contrary it got worse.
So I pledged myself to never buy a single Apple product again (had similar issues with one of my power-books as well).
Android may not be as polished as IOS but at least you're kind of free to do and share what you want and how you want to do it. Now that finally the software support for Android began to improve and Google's eco-system offers the same possibilities as Apple (yes, it's not so transparent or user-friendly) I don't see any reason to go back to iPhone or other overpriced Apple crap.

It amazes me that people love to contribute to the gigantic money pile over at Apple by paying 60% more that the actual cost of making the thing and knowing that after deduction the net gain per device is the highest compared of any other brand. Of course you will argue that it's because they are a great company and I will say "no they aren't, they just used brilliant marketing to offer an illusion of being part of an exclusive family so they can charge you whatever they want"

Never had such statement be less true of the base iPhone. iPhone 15 will be surely the best purchase in the next two years for people, who want iOS and somewhat value for money. With their new naming with A17 Pro, we will surely not see the same chipset in the iPhone 16, but some weaker alternative.
iPhone 15 has significant upgrades over the iPhone 14, which matters to its core audience. You get nearly iPhone 14 Pro specs (Dynamic Island, 2000nit, A16, 48MP) for a cheaper price and lifestyle colours.
Sure, enthusiast users want 120Hz, USB 3.2, 3nm etc, but these are not critical for the real buyers group of iPhone base series and best case upsell to iPhone Pro-Series.

I agree to most of the points in this article but if someone is moving from Android for the first time to an iPhone in that case the iPhone 15 should be a good option (if compared to iPhone 13 Pro or vanilla iPhone 14) - This is keep the cost/budget in mind
