      Apple is a status symbol and little else, honestly. Android offers everything they offer and more. But non-techie consumers can't care less about technicalities and most of them are social climbers too so the appeal for iPhones is neverending.

        I wouldn't use an iPhone even if it was free because I don't have the patience migrating and then maybe get stuck in their ecosystem.

        I totally understand the business side. They're providing something people want according to the sales they have. Words don't trump sales.

          Here in India Pro model is 55000 INR more than the Iphone 15 which is more than 600 USD. The more features of Pro models don't make that much sense to me with that big a price gap. One can buy Airpods pro, Apple TV 4k and a decent Android phone with that money.

            To those who have money to throw away , will buy pros ! Most of the people buyin 15 , will be middle class who use it for atleast 2 yrs minimum ! 60hz and USB 2.0 will be a joke in 2024 itself !

                      From your opinion, you do not need iOS and its service, so its better for you to use Android phones and I bet you do not buy Google Pixel as Pixel is expensive too compared with your mentioned phones.

                        I'm currently using an iPhone 11 base model with 128 GB storage but it is getting older and the battery is not as good as it used to be. I need an upgrade so which one should I get? IPhone 15 128 GB model or 256 GB model or should I get the iPhone 15 pro 128gb model? Which is more worth it in the long run if I don't really care about the refresh rate and charging speed on the new iPhone?

                          Totally agree most people aren't tech heads and apple have the it factor hence their premium prices but again I'm sure I'm not the only android user here checking out the new iPhone with the idea of jumping ship.. which for now I cannot justify. Had they added a higher refresh rate or faster charging I would have almost certainly done so..

                            It is pointless and not worth the stupid price tag for an iPhone 15 or 16 or 17, etc.. End of the day, if apple is refusing to have the latest specs as other brands which are half the price of the stupid iPhone, don't waste your hard end cash on a company that is purely dedicated to sucking ur hard earned cash for maximum profits. Who charges 1500 for a 60hz refresh rate screen when mid range phones are having 120/144 screen for under $500. With better specs, battery life, build quality, good cameras and 4nm chipsets.

                                  People seem to forget.

                                  The real base iPhone is at $999, started with the iPhone X. That's the iPhone that Apple expects enthusiasts, frequent upgraders, to buy. The Pro models will be best selling during launch as the enthusiasts are the usual ones who FOMO. But sales tend to fall down after the launch months.

                                  Meanwhile, the non-pro model, started with the iPhone XR, was for the regular people just walking into an Apple store wanting to upgrade their old iPhone 6s/7. These models will end up selling consistenly throughout the year. There will always be a lay person going into an Apple store in winter, spring, and summer to upgrade their old broken down iPhone. These people don't care about the spec. All they see is the same model number (15), new attractive colors, and roughly at the same cost as their old phone (be it in contract or not). Any new spec is just gravy. That's why Apple keeps the pricing and cut cost through minimizing any component upgrades.

                                  Apple knows what they're doing. They don't become trillion dollar company out of nowhere.
