Yup, planning to switch back from Android for this one. No shows toppers but seems like a mature release. 4k cinematic video and lidar scanning are two features I'll use regularly and can't find Android equivalents. Prores codec is a bonus for us content folk as well. Big shoes to fill replacing my P30, but ready for the change back.

YUKI93, 18 Sep 2023Both 15 and 15 Plus are easy passes for me, especially when... moreNothing to celebrate about on what the Apple called seven lenses/cameras with the periscope shutter that would be compared to other companies using periscope systems for ages! 🤣🤣

“Buying the 15?” - No. 14 Pro maybe.
I’m currently working on a very remote site. Bad signal everyday. My 13 gets at least 2 bars everyday, whilst my 9 Lite doesn’t have.
Alternative Android recos are welcome. Aside from signal strength, Camera has to be top notch… 🥂

Tylkos, 17 Sep 2023Well the vanilla iPhone 15 at 799$ makes sense for me, if I... moreBut 799$ is excluding tax . In europe the listed prices are including tax.

                Mate 60 pro is better

Why is the Apple product priced higher but still lacks a charger and supported only 35W? no fingerprint scanner and the same size notch! why apple?

Alex 94, 17 Sep 2023I can chose between two opinions: to get 65 inch tv, tablet... moreIf you buy all that stuff at that price then

The TV will fail after the warranty is up
The tablet will be so slow that it’s almost unusable
The air conditioner will make up all the money you saved by having much higher electricity costs
The fridge will be just enough to hold stuff for one person and not more
The stove won’t be big enough to cook many meals
And for the Redmi… If you like having a social credit score pre-assigned, I guess you could do that

Ssg, 18 Sep 2023Listen buddy, been a die hard fan motivates some people to ... moreAnd that is fair enough, you choose what works for you. I on the other hand, when I first swapped to an iPhone quickly got used to the different way it goes about things, and I got on with it.

Like I have said before, had I noticed a massive drop in functionality I would have returned the iPhone and gone back to Android, and written the whole thing off as a bad experiment. That didn’t happen for me though, instead I found I quickly got used to the different way iOS goes about things, as such I now have a quite sizeable investment in both media and Apps on both platforms and am now free to jump between them at will. Oh And I never say one is better than the other, they are just different.

Just like us, we are different, I can happily use both, you cannot.

DaFink, 17 Sep 2023‘ Apple with the iOS can barely do 50% of what a low end an... more_Apps cloning is one of the major reason why I spend money bucks for today's smartphones else I would be using Nokia botton phone by now😊funny but true

I don't know if you are familiar with App cloning but this is impossible on the Apple iOS world (but let me know if it's back since I left the ecosystem a month ago)

There are alot of stuffs I go extreme to do with my smartphones which might be different from the way you handles yours , so I won't dive in much to keep mentioning, considering some of this are personal.

I know you've heard alot about this on this site that Apple iOS is a prison OS, but I will like you do some research about it and confirm yourself because seeing is believing.

... But overall how do this Apple fan boys able to get to this site.....some third party apps? Or is the the actual app? ¿-:))

But if it's not what I'm thinking then congrats.

atichko, 18 Sep 2023Sorry but he's right. Midrange devices have more to of... moreAnd that is fair enough, you have specific use case you believe you can only achieve with Android, so yeah use Android. I though appear to have a use case that fits both systems. I could switch back to Android tomorrow and not really skip a beat, switch back to iOS the day after and carry straight on.

In that respect I feel I am luckier than most of the ‘I’ll never use iOS’ or ‘I won’t touch an Android’ types as all they have achieved is to limit their own options. They’ve convinced themselves they cannot work with one or the other, I on the other hand have made both work for me.

My first smartphone was a Chinese android of which I had 3yrs of experience in the china-android world before I switched to Samsung and before this era I never knew a site Gsmarena ever exists, but I do brag alot with my friends who praises Samsung and iphones that they all are same no difference, just names like Chinese brands.

Man! but I spent 6yrs with Samsung without issues (even the last Samsung device I used was having an exynos chip inside but it was able to deliver to expectations) of which I got to know Gsmarena and this same arguments motivated me to swap my Samsung for an iPhone, I didn't care how much I spend on both accessories and the phone itself but this costs me 5x my former phone, but all because it's an Apple I told myself "if others are doing it why can't I"

To cut the long story short the few days I tried to couple up with this big boyz phone(Apple brand) was a true hell and I couldn't bare that I swapped it off for a low end Chinese device offering me all I need in a smartphone except for cameras (but it's a minor for me)

I accomplish every task on my iPhone I ever did on any Android I ever owned, sure I have to do some things a bit differently, and sure I can’t waste my time endlessly customising and then re-customising the launcher, ooh big loss there I guess 🤷

the 15 pro max costs 93k here while the galaxy s23 ultra costs 53k. a 40k in differance may not sound much but its let me remind you that 40k is the average monthly salary of a professional doctor.
