For €650 I can buy a S23 here in Europe 😆 Why should I then buy such an inferior phone? Screen size? There are better too for a similar price.

It's basically a phone for people who want to have a good camera but dont want to spend the flagship price while performance part ist the top end of middle class or if preferred then is phrase it different and bottom end of flagship performance
In 2-3 months to wait and get the Xiaomi 14 that also have flagship top end performance with good cameras and also more compact in size as Xiaomi 13 is around 152mm tall with it's 6.36 inch screen when 6.67 inch screen makes the phone around 161mm tall.
By size it's competition for Sony and Google phones with there 6.1 inch screen size of the screen with bezels or just narrow phone to have close to same tallness.
Standard iphone 6.1 inch screen is 146mm tall just like Samsung standards S class with it's 6.1 inch screen. These are more compact and as compact you can get as of now as there are no other smaller phones in the market to compare. Nothing in middle to budget class
Few months ago when i bought Poco F5 at least was nothing for up to that 450 euro budget i had for a phone to spend. I looked Pixel 6a that was more compact but was like 380 euro while ok chip that performs better then SD778 but rest like no 3.5mm jack and too big for it's screen size and also only 60hz screen and also slow charger so it was not worth it. Only good camera with performance top middle class and thats it. Sony have something 6.0 inch screen phone but that is also over 152mm tall and also too expensive as what it's offer like around same price as the Pixel 6a and sd695 basically bottom middle class.
Galaxy S22 was still over my budget and i didnt look for S21
And there is no point to buy Chinese phones when they are already 1-2 years old as then they be at the end of updates. When i pay 400 euro then i expect to get some like at least 2 OS be nice at least. Spending like up to 250 euro then 1 update is already blessing.
Probably best to wait like half a year and then buy these 13T or 13T Pro as then there price be dropped like 100 euro
This is a phone for these people who want flagship camera but dont need to have the best performance as it be like bottom of the flagship tier performance with flagship cameras

Seems too much...Well as the other comment suggests there are many different standards to follow and there are much higher sales and other taxes in Europe. You can't forget also about distribution around the World which is not as cheap as distribution only in China.
So these additional costs as well as ugraded devices compared to chinese version, are what brings the price up. And people are apparently willing to pay for that. So there is no real reason for Xiaomi to drop their prices and profits.

Xiaomi 13 and 13T are completely different devices aiming at different buyers. So why does Xmi call the 13t that way? Xmi's naming scheme doesn't make any sense.

Never mind that it use to be normal that product made for home market is cheaper then to sell it in other countries markets. When Japan was ahead of everyone in electronics they use to have all the good phones with best cameras and everything only for Japan market and then few years later maybe others in the world also got to get that tech.
